Customers say: Quality work

"I am elderly and have had dishonest people, but Joo's is clearly honest. Excellent job, fast, hard working, completed just as requested. Courteous, knowledgeable, honest, reasonable charge. Recommend with no reservation. He brought his own equipment and crew. Discussed bigger jobs below to starting in the fall. He offered suggestions and processes. Jobs such as: A gravel parking strip, pea gravel wheelchair garden walkway, fence staining, install picket fence to section off the raised beds. I arranged for routine service. "

"I use Sticks & Stones for a wide variety of lawn maintenance and landscaping. They are very easy to work with, give me lots of options, are reliable, and know what they’re doing. But for me, if I’m going to have workers visiting my house so often, I need to actually LIKE them and get along with them. Jeremy and Dee are LIKABLE, and very pleasant to be around! They wind up getting really dirty, soaked in the rain, cooked in the heat, but they never complain. I’d highly recommend this company for their attitudes as well as their abilities! "

"RoRo Landscaping trimmed 90 feet of 20+ year-old Laurel hedge for me. The hedge was 10 feet high at each end and shorter in the middle. Rodrigo cut back the height on both ends and the overall width. He gave me a free estimate and showed up on the day he said he would. RoRo’s expert cutting, cleanup and professional attitude give me confidence to call on them again, if I have other landscaping projects. Here are pictures of the hedge, before and after trimming. My wife and I are very happy we chose RoRo Landscaping for this project. "

Customers say: Quality work

"We couldn't be happier with the job Sergio and his guys did! Scheduling with him was smooth, and the team did an unbelievably quick, efficient, and thorough removal of all the leaves from our yard (which was an especially hard job given how steep it is and how many leaves there were!). Everyone was friendly and professional, and we will definitely be hiring them again for our lawn care needs!"

"Rojas Complete Garden did an incredible job. Adam was very communicative, prompt and punctual, and efficient. My job, was purely a leaf job. Before they did the work we could not see the ground anywhere on our property. Several inches of layers of leaves covered the front and back yard from large old trees. They did an excellent job. I am impressed. I would recommend Rojas Complete Garden. "

"Adam and his crew did amazing work going above and beyond expectations. Went out of his way to pickup things that were missing out of the shed kit. It was very appreciated that he picked up a vapor barrier so the shed would be built to last. Great communication and even better price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend and/or use on future projects. Thanks Adam! "

FAQs for lawn care maintenance and mowing projects in Eugene, OR

Hiring a professional saves you time and can actually save you money in the long run. Without regular care, your lawn might develop problems like thatch buildup, diseases, or pests, which can be expensive to fix. A pro keeps your lawn healthy, so you can enjoy it without the hassle.

Mowing your lawn yourself is generally cheaper than paying someone to do it. While a lawn mower can cost between $80 and $2,500 depending on the type, professional mowing services charge between $30 and $80 per visit. Investing in your own mower means that over time, you can save money by handling the mowing yourself, especially if you maintain your lawn regularly.

While the wording may vary from company to company, lawn maintenance typically includes all the services that keep your current healthy lawn looking sharp. Think mowing, watering, weeding, and a spring or fall cleanup.

Lawn care digs a bit deeper. These packages may include services that elevate your lawn's health or address an issue throughout the year. Fertilization, pest and weed control, and dethatching all fall into this category.

There is no set-in-stone schedule for mowing your lawn, as each grass variety grows at a different rate depending on the season. Once you determine the type of grass in your lawn and its ideal height, aim to remove no more than the top third of the blade at a time to retain its healthy structure.

In the high growing season, this will likely break down to about once a week, which is why lawn care specialists often offer weekly plans.

Don’t mow your grass if it hasn’t grown more than one-third of its height since you last cut it. For example, if you want grass no more than 2 inches, don’t mow it until it’s 3 inches. Don’t cut your grass when wet, as it clumps together and places more stress on your mower’s blades and makes it harder for the sun to reach the turf. This can lead to mold or disease. Conversely, don’t mow when it’s too dry. But, if you do, be sure to raise your mower’s deck height by about half an inch to encourage slower growth.

Yes, landscaping can significantly add value to your home. High-quality landscape design offers a return on investment of 20% to 30%. A well-maintained lawn and attractive outdoor spaces enhance your property's curb appeal and market value, making it more appealing to potential buyers when you decide to sell.
