"Hurricane repairs Did not provide accurate detailed scope of work after several requests, pressured into signing contract because they said they would send updated scope of work, New skylight frame not insulated, dry wall patching is horrendous, insulation thrown away when could have been re used. Holes in ceiling patched and mudded with blemishes, cracks around existing skylight not repaired(stated this was not included in estimate) Lanai ceiling dry wall torn down and replaced with hardy board, team was unable to seal seams and nail holes properly, contactor decided to install 1x4 pine untreated to cover the errors, this was not approved by home owner, no change order provided or signed. 1x4 pine untreated boards are untreated, not painted and extremely flawed and do not fit the Florida decor Lanai floor painted with flat paint after verbal promise of epoxy application, no change order provided or signed they said the refuse to come back because we have video cameras and did not notify them, we have 1 ring door bell at the front door, extremely visible, we have before and after pictures and can provide text messages asking for updated detailed scope of work, they also refuse to provide copy of signed contract No written change orders provided or signed...."

"Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

"Jeremy and his entire crew was amazing from start to finish,from helping negotiate with the insurance company,to picking out nice replacement fixtures and flooring, to getting the work done on time and on budget. I was most impressed by his incredible attention to detail, he made sure everything was done exactly right and not even a speck of paint out of place. We had to get some baseboards replaced and we have kind of unusual color wood grain baseboards and he made sure that the new ones were stained so that they were almost an exact match to the original! We also had to get a closet door replaced and when he couldnt find a suitable replacement he actually bought one and swapped out the broken peices and put it all back together so it looked and worked like brand new! Also this required a remodel of our kitchen and he made sure it was done fast enough that we only had two days of "down time" for an entire cabinet and counter top swap over! His crew even came in on a saturday when things ran a little behind. I was worried as this was my first experience with a major contracting job and growing up in South Florida you always hear horror stories about contractors taking the money and vanishing in the middle of the job or putting in substandard fixtures or doing things in a haphazard way. All I can say is I could not imagine a better experience than JMS, we are having them back to do even more work because we are so pleased with the results."
