"Pro Home Exteriors did a wonderful job installing my vinyl siding, painting my foundation and staining my porch and deck. Juan and his crews were very professional and explained everything they were doing. My house is beautiful and they stayed on schedule. The clean up after completing the project was great and I am completely satisfied with this project. I highly recommend Pro Home Exteriors for your next vinyl siding or painting project. My deck looks brand new and is much sturdier than even when it was first built. I’ll hire this company again for my next project. Thanks Juan- appreciate the attention to detail and hard work from you snd your crews! "

"Our stucco was repaired in a timely fashion with great matching of style and paint. He even touched up some discolored areas of stucco for free and without being asked. Highly recommend!!"

"The job was a bit expensive, but it's not a small house, though a neighbor is getting their house done by someone else for $1000 less. The house and trim look good, until you get really close. House color on trim edges that should be a different color. All over spray wasn't cleaned up well, no masking was done. Lots of paint on the driveway, in the grass and on the upper deck. Areas in the yard where brushes and equipment were cleaned, or where paint was spilled are now dead, I will have to reseed those areas when it gets cooler. For the most part we are satisfied, but attention to detail was lacking."

"I paid about close to $800 for a Pella double-paned picture frame window. A third party installer ordered it and installed it. The installer did a great job. The window itself came from Pella with a defect. There's an oily smudge on the inside of one of the panes of glass, impossible to get to and clean. Pella sold me a window that will look eternally dirty. My house has some crappy storm windows on it. For aesthetic reasons the old storm window was reinstalled in front of the new Pella window. Pella has agreed to replace the glass pack on the window: great. Pella's team will not remove the storm window in order to get to the window: not so great. This window and storm window are on a second story. I don't have the ladders or the help to do it myself. That means I'll have to absorb the cost of having a team come, take the storm window down so your team can change the glass pack. Then have that same team come back and put the storm window back up. Expensive, time consuming, infuriating. Their communication and scheduling is slow. They won't give me partial money back on the defective window and I will not be spending even more money in order to accommodate them in regards to having the storm window uninstalled and reinstalled. It's a write off. The window looks nice besides the defect. I will not be doing business with Pella ever again. There are cheaper alternatives for the same poor quality and customer service."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Fontana, KS

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
