"I recently hired SunShine Painting to refresh the ceilings in my newly purchased home. John responded promptly to my inquiry and offered a competitive price for the work. The team exceeded my expectations, delivering results that went above and beyond what I had anticipated. They made sure I was completely satisfied with the job before accepting payment. I highly recommend SunShine Painting to anyone seeking professional and reliable painting services."

"I like him a lot. Last Fall, he did some yard work for me. He put in a gate and things like that. If I have anything come up to remodel, I'd use him, not that he did any remodel for me but he's been satisfactory with everything else. I used him last year and helped me with a little landscaping. He painted my deck and landscaping mainly. I would rate him highly for whatever he did for me. He's very trustworthy, very outstanding and does a good job with whatever I've had him do. The pricing is reasonable. All the way through, I'm happy with whatever I called him in to do."

"Very well. Hans does beautiful work. I got several bids from other contractors to do different parts of the job. Hans was the only contractor who could do everything - the wood work, paint, repairs, and finish the garage. His bid was a little higher than the other bids for each part of the project but in the end he was willing to lower his price to do the entire project. Hans did all the work while I, my wife and four small children were living in the house. He did a great job working around our busy schedule and did a good job of minimizing any disruption to my family. The project took longer than anticipated due to the size of our project and Hans had other projects he was working on around the same time he was working on our house. I plan to have Hans come back to do more painting this spring. I highly recommend Hans Kunze."

"I told him what I wanted and he designed and built exactly that. They are very sturdy which is what I wanted. When painted the same as my house, they look as if they were there when the house was constructed. When painted the same as my house, they just blend in. I am handicapped and they have saved me from some nasty falls. I would recommend Dan to friends and I have! I would definitely hire him again."

"Estimate was quite reasonable, Entire house plus storage shed were two coated using quality paint and three different colors. Body of buildings and accent for shutters and gables were twice  sprayed and back brushed. Trim boards, eve troughs and down spouts were twice brushed. Drop covers and masking paper were used to protect everything from drips and splatter. Final inspection and touch ups were very thorough. The entire job was done in an unreshed but timely manner. Mr. Fowler and his crew were pleasant to deal with and I will without a doubt have them back to do interior painting when the time comes for that job."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Fruita, CO

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
