"This is a small, owner-operated business with diligent and trustworthy support employees. Kevin communicated with us regularly and was clear in his explanations. His estimate included minor repairs to siding. Where he noted defects (mostly due to aging) he pointed them out and even took some pictures to clarify what was wrong. He caulked areas, prior to painting, that should have been taken care of by the original builder. We chose a rather bold color to be applied to vinyl siding. He took the time and effort to make sure that shifting of the siding would have a minimal impact on the final appearance. His final invoice was more than fair considering the quality of his work. His attention to detail was incredible! He was easy to work with and we can't recommend him highly enough."

He found the root of the moisture issue that was causing a swath of my exterior stucco to come loose, and he meticulously replaced and primed/waterproofed the wood, wire mesh, and stucco, and his team painted the exterior portions without even a single stray drop on the driveway. "I chose Kalamazoo Handymen Services mainly due to the excellent communication Mark showed from the very beginning. It gave me the confidence that he not only listens to his customers, but also would respond to email, phone, and text messages in a timely manner. This is a rare quality from not only a handyman, but also most contractors I have worked with in the past. They were hired to install base trim, chair rail, and crown molding, as well as 2 bifold doors and a half wall cap which was just over 1000 square feet worth in a finished basement. He sub'd out the crown and the painting which I was perfectly OK with, and informed me of his decision to do so ahead of time while providing a quote for the entire project. Mark and Ryan showed up early every day and worked between 6-8 hours each day until the job was finished. The entire project took about 2 weeks, give or take. If they had any questions or had any issues, he was quick to get in touch with me. Alternatively, they were both very patient with me and all of the questions/changes I had thrown at them. "Very well. This was a big job. Rick was the only contractor we spoke to that could both suitably restore metal surfaces prior to painting them and also offer a warranty on his labor and materials. He even offered to re-stain a three-story wooden partition for us at no extra cost. The project took five weeks to complete (quite a bit longer than originally estimated, delayed due to unusually rainy weather), but Rick was in touch each day to let us know if the forecast allowed for work to be performed. Rick was a pleasure to interact with and seemed genuinely conscientious about his work. Patio structure looks great and we’re thrilled to have it restored for many years to come."
