I’ve been working on homes for as long as I can remember. What started as small projects like refinishing furniture has grown into full-scale renovations, including repainting entire homes inside and out.\n\nPainting is one of the most impactful parts of any space, and I take pride in doing it right—clean lines, proper prep, and a finish that lasts. Whether it’s a single room or a full home, I approach every project with the same level of care and attention to detail.

"Great! Keith, Terry, Paul and Frank did a great job, friendly with us and our pets. The finished product was exactly what I wanted to achieve. The cleaned up after themselves and even did extra jobs that came up. Thanks to them I now have two more beautiful rooms. This is the second job they did for us and in the spring they will be staining our new deck. Hire these guys!"

"Before submitting his quote Tracy, walk around with my wife and myself and took photos of the house and described each detail of the repairs that were needed, <br /> Once he submitted the quote, we  asked how much was required for a down payment, and he said, when the work has been completed and we are satisfied. <br /> He and his crew kept us informed throughout the project. This is a crew that cleaned up when they finished for the day. <br /> Upon completion of the project, the premises were left  impeccable.  <br /> We are very satisfied with T&J Exteriors, Inc., and we highly recommend them without hesitation or regret. <br /> They will be our first call when we help in the future. <br /> James & Lulu Adams <br />"

"For years QWR has performed many types of maintenance jobs at both our rental property and at our residence. The different types of repairs and updates they perform are too numerous to list all. One of the most notable was a chimney repair that QWR did at our rental property. Birds had pecked large holes in the chimney's stucco siding, they were nesting in the holes and this caused an interior water leak. I obtained a couple chimney repair quotes and selected QWR because Jason had the BEST solution for protecting the chimney from future encroachment by custom fitting a metal wrap around the chimney and then, over top of the metal wrap, he resided the chimney with vinyl that closely matched the vinyl on the house. The chimney cap was painted with rust resistant paint and refitted to the chimney. Critters in the chimney are no longer a problem and the chimney looks fabulous!! The most recent job was installing a new toilet tank kit in our rental. The rental house was sold and the toilet tank water started running continuously 2 days prior to a Friday closing date. I called Jason and he made room in the schedule to repair the toilet on Friday, closing day. Unfortunately, I could not possibly meet him at the house so I left the house unlocked and his crew came in and did the repair before the end of the day - just in the nick of time before the new owners took possession. Just to list some of the other jobs QWR has done for us - garbage disposal replacement, drywall water damage repair, wall & trim painting, concrete caulk fill, sure up brick on a retaining wall, cut & install interior trim molding, replace bathroom exhaust fan, etc. QWR is responsive, honest and can repair nearly anything. QWR also stands behind their work. If not satisfied with the quality, they will come back and make it right."

"    Braswell Construction  worked on our newly purchased house form October 2015 to January 2016. I am just getting around to writing review due to my work schedule. <br>    We contacted Braswell a few weeks after we closed on our house in mid-September. Geoff was very friendly and detailed oriented. Throughout the process, he gave us some good ideas as far as brand of appliance to use, quality of different fixtures etc.  We really like our toilets, garbage disposal, and kitchen faucet that he recommended....they are not run of the mill....much better quality than average without the overly expensive price. We had ordered our major appliances from Appliances Connection in the Northeast to be delivered by truck..(GREAT prices and service).  <br>     All of the sub contractors were polite. We did have some fairly significant problems with the installation of our floors done by Signature Flooring. Geoff stayed on them the whole process down to the very end of job to get it right as far as the floors adhesive.  Signature did come back about 7 times to put more glue down to fix problems...it is not at 100 percent yet, but it is much better than it used to be...Geoff would not release the money to them until we were satisfied( and to Signature's testament they kept at it to keep us satisfied...a big plus ). <br>We originally had a price quote form Geoff of about 35000, but due to us adding several things and dropping some others, it came to 38,000. We were very satisfied with the way Braswell handled many things on a plethora of levels. The barbed wire removal was particularly rough on the sub contractors.   <br>    Geoff worked with us in getting all the door locks re-keyed the day before final payment. There were many small tweaks that Braswell consistently came through on in a timely and accommodating manner....i.e...changing the way a door opened, type of hardware on cabinets, light placement, painting...all the while being mindful of our pets when we could not be there. <br>Our kitchen is gorgeous......very open concept...very updated with floating shelves, solid wood cabinetry, subway tile etc. The lighting arrangement that the electrical sub contractors suggested works awesome. We did have fairly good ideas of how we wanted the kitchen to look and they enhanced our ideas even more. Geoff and the team were very good in accommodating our changing wishes as project progressed and really helped us make some tough decisions....as well as adhering to getting major steps of the project done around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. <br>We will use Braswell in the future without a doubt. In the next year, we plan on replacing the roof on our cabin in North Georgia as well as gutting our master bath...among other projects.. Braswell will be at the top of the list for possible general contractors. <br> <br>"

"Everything was going great at the start of the project with the demo of the old deck in March 2016. However the craftsmanship of the carpenter was not very good, boards were rough cut and the gaps between the deck boards were inconsistent. Luis then stained the deck as promised, however this was too early to stain and the deck boards start seeping sap. It was unusable, we asked him to repair which he did, and they did a great job of fixing and re-staining the deck boards."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Gay, GA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
