"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"

Formely Fleming & Sheeley (purchased by former Fleming & Sheeley employees after previous owner's retirement), now First Class Incorporated, we're proud to provide the same quality, affordability, and timeliness that were Fleming & Sheeley's hallmark.

"Reese guided us through the many possible flooring solutions and helped us to select appropriate choices based on our specific needs for the three rooms involved. He lent us the large-size samples to bring home to do color matching. He then came over to measure exactly, specify, and propose the specs and costs. Upon acceptance he ordered the materials and scheduled the work. The two specialists came on time and did excellent, professional work (10/31/19 - 11/1/19). We've given it 7 weeks before writing the review, during which we are enjoying the new flooring more and more, and are glad we did this long-needed upgrade. No problems arose during this whole process and Reese and his workmen patiently and expertly answered our many questions throughout."

American Custom Contractors is a full-service roofing, siding, and general contracting company committed to delivering high-quality home improvement services. With 52 years of experience, we specialize in both residential and commercial projects, ensuring durability and precision in every job. We pride ourselves on our customer-focused approach, providing tailored solutions and exceptional craftsmanship to meet the unique needs of each client.

"American Custom Contractors did an outstanding job replacing the roof, woodwork, trim, and gutters on our historic 1910 home. The ACC work crews, including carpenters, roofers, and gutter specialists, were highly skilled and experienced. Yanni Agouridis, our project consultant, was extremely helpful in working out the details of the engagement at the outset. Blase Skully, project supervisor and quality assurance manager, was always available to answer many questions and provide advice as we refined the scope of work and the project progressed. He made sure they delivered exactly what we were seeking to accomplish. Blase was also sensitive to ensuring that the historic look of the house was maintained and enhanced by the materials they used and the work they did. The result is beautiful. We get many complements on our new roof and gutters. We highly recommend American Custom Contractors."

FAQs for attic insulation installation projects in Glen Burnie, MD

The best attic insulation depends on where you live, the project stage, and your budget. New builds often benefit from structural insulated panels for top-tier efficiency, while homes in very warm regions can see big cooling savings with reflective insulation. Blown-in, loose-fill, and spray foam all excel at filling odd spaces in finished attics. Talk with a certified local pro to match the material to your climate, space, and wallet.

You’ll only need a licensed electrician if the project calls for moving existing wiring or adding new fixtures. For straightforward insulation jobs, your insulation installer can work around current cables. That said, never start insulating until a pro has checked any questionable wiring. If you suspect damaged or outdated circuits, book an electrician first to keep the project—and your home—safe and code-compliant.

Without air sealing, even the best insulation can underperform. Gaps let heated or cooled air leak out, forcing your HVAC system to work harder and driving up energy bills. Sealing those cracks before adding insulation locks in conditioned air, keeps moisture at bay, and helps the new material hit its full R-value. Ask your insulation pro to tackle sealing first so you enjoy consistent comfort and lower monthly costs.

Among readily available options, structural insulated panels and rigid foam boards top the charts with R-values that can reach 8.0. They’re ideal for new construction or very cold climates where maximum thermal resistance matters most. If you live in a milder zone, blown-in or loose-fill insulation may deliver plenty of performance at a lower price. Weigh the upfront cost against energy savings—and lean on a local pro’s guidance—to pick the smartest fit.
