This means they aren't inspecting the lawn for problems, which is half the job in my estimation. Drop the note, drop the fertilizer and go. Spoke with service reps and office personnel in order to solve problems on lawn and get them to address looking at the lawn, but the company didn't listen. "We gave up. After purchasing a foreclosed home that had a DEAD lawn we tried for 7 years to bring it back to life. We purchased Scotts from the local hardware store and spent a fortune applying our own weed killer and fertilizer to no avail. Finally my husband said he gave up and was ready to tear it out and put down sod when we got a flyer in the mail and thought what the heck!  Within two treatments and consultation on mowing, watering and dethatching our lawn is beautiful. They NEVER apply something outside of contract without prior approval and are not at all pushy if they make an additional suggestion on treatment. Our lawn looks better than it ever has. We pay by the season now and it is $100 cheaper than store bought treatments without the hassle of applying ourselves. We receive a discount for paying for the next years season in advance and will gladly continue to do so. <br />"

"It's going well. My lawn is looking good. I pay on an annual basis with them. They just come and go. You never see them hardly. They put a marker out in the grass to stay off of it while it is drying. They leave a note in your door that says we were out this is what we did and the solutions we put. They tell you what solutions they happen to put down whether it is fertilizer, weed killer, or grub control. We don't basically hear from them until the next month. I would say the price is fair, but I don't know how competitive it is. If it was real expensive, we wouldn't be doing it."

The gentleman was very nice, courteous and honest with me explaining that the problem was the large trees in the yard blocking the sun. He explained that seeding the yard would probably not work.
