Our 70-year old home was looking quite sad with paint peeling on every side, rotten boards, and a general sense of neglect. We were unsure of what could be done to get it back into shape.

Of all the paint contractors we contacted (5 in total), Tyler from Shades of Rose put us most at ease. His bid was very competitive for the amount of work and he was honest, straight-forward, and patient with whatever questions we had. His crew arrived on time every day, were courteous and professional, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. They even removed and reinstalled our crazy storm windows without a complaint - which was a herculean task (Tyler said afterwards that they were the most difficult the team ever had to deal with).

At the end of the last day when we had our final walk around, I was amazed at the transformation of our house. I think Shades of Rose did a tremendous job and I am thankful that we invested in them. Also outstanding was Tyler's reassurance that they would come out to fix up anything that bugged us over the next few weeks. We also have a 3-year warranty and the crew will come out if there are any issues over that time frame.

"Jared and his crew did an outstanding job for us. We purchased a home that needed the entire interior painted after they removed the wall paper and repaired the dry wall. "At the end of September, I was advised by a siding contractor that my LP siding (which swells and warps if in contact with moisture) was at risk through another Portland rainy winter. My home had not been painted for over a dozen or more years. I realized our rainy season was upon us within just a couple of weeks and needed to find a painter and have my home painted before the rainy season arrived. I researched on Home Advisor various painters, as well as contacted many of the more common painting contractors in our area. Futures Painting contacted me right away. Because of their excellent reviews, I added them to my list of consideration. Sergio met with me at my convenience and was very detailed in how he planned on protecting my siding and paint my house. Many other painting contractors I contacted either didn't call me back, or they said it was too late in the season to paint. I walked through the job with a couple of other contractors who did return my call but their description of the work they planned on was not as comprehensive as a solution as what Futures Painting was proposing. Not only did Sergio and his crew perform an incredible job on my home, but they also went above and beyond. They caulked every seal and joint. Also used the highest quality primer and rolled it on my LP siding rather than spraying. He said this was to push the primer and paint into every seal and crack. Luckily the first two weeks of October were sunny and they were able to get my entire two-story home painted as well as my deck before the rain. The painting is meticulous, clean lines, and no errant paint in places there shouldn't be. They scheduled timely, arrived exactly when they said they would and worked daily--even on the weekend--to ensure they finished in time for my home to dry before the rains arrived. I am not a person who writes reviews normally. But I am beyond happy and compelled to share my enthusiasm. If you hire Futures Painting, you will be as happy. Sergio will know who wrote this review. "Overall 5 star experience! When I met Scott, I could tell that he was a bit of a perfectionist and also an artist when it comes to siding, which is definitely what we want for any exterior home project. He pointed out issues that other siding companies did not, yet this did not seem to impact the quote. He just wants to do things the right way, and for the end result to have an accent here and there that won't impact the total cost. From our first meeting, I could tell that our home would be in good hands, so we hired him. The project itself was very well done, and completely affordable. Scottâ s crew was professional, tidy, efficient, and to be honest, such a joy to have around. They noticed a flashing issue that was there before we moved here, and took a whole wall down that they had just sided, to fix the issue and then reside that wall. There were no shortcuts taken. It looks like our house is brand new. Thatâ s really saying a lot given that our home is more than 100 years old.
