Mudzilla was created in 1995 to give homeowners an alternative to the dusty, dirty mess of new drywall and plaster repair. I was an apprentice to an original plaster artist who worked on homes in the 1940's, I took what he taught me and applied it to new drywall and the result was that I could finish it faster and cleaner.

"Corey did a very good job with our kitchen repair. Our general contractor hired him, and he's very conscientious about his work / craft. He uses a wet seam installation for the drywall, sort of like doing plaster, and that keeps him from sanding everything and really messing up the house. His painting was very high quality too. He takes his time, is meticulous, and you'll be happy with the finished product. We are."

FAQs for plaster repair projects in Hinesville, GA

Yes, crumbling plaster poses a safety hazard. Crumbling plaster overhead can drop heavy pieces that injure anyone below. The risk increases if the material contains older additives, such as asbestos or lead-based paint, which can become airborne when the surface is disturbed. Have a qualified pro test and repair deteriorating areas quickly to keep your family—and pets—safe.

Ceiling plaster repairs require a lighter touch than wall repairs. Plaster repair professionals apply thinner coats of plaster to ceilings to reduce weight and smooth the surface, which helps prevent future sagging. Wall repairs can handle extra texture and additional layers without risking structural strain. A plaster repair pro will have the expertise to determine the best technique for your problem area.
