He was polite and took his time in checking out every inch and gave me suggestions and explained what they could do as far as lawn and my flower beds. He supplied me with booklets and information on insects, flowers and lawn treatments and not once did he try to pressure me into any contracts. We talked and laughed about my lack of knowledge of keeping the lawn and flowers at their best. He left and gave me plenty of time to read over all the materials he had left with his cell phone number for any questions I might have later. What was most impressive to me was that I made all the decisions on what I wanted done  and was able to talk to him about thoses decisions with complete satisfaction and no pressure. I was even told that at any time I could change or add a treatment when I wanted to.  Decisions made, appointments set up and kept on time, work very professional and a call from the office for next appointment and to make sure everything went well. Could not ask for better service that works."

"So my wife and I finally bought our first home. Ill admit, it was a bit of a fixer upper, but we got it at a great price due to the fact that the landscaping was nonexistent. So upon moving in, my wife told me that women at the place she banks at (Union Bank )raved about a guy named Larry, who's company is Nelms landscaping. She said not one, but all three of the women working there said there is nobody better. So I told my wife to get his number from them, next time she was in there. She did, i and gave him a call the next day, which was Saturday June 7th. First, i was very surprised that he was able to come on a Saturday. We made an appointment for 2:00 that afternoon, and he was right on time. We talked about what needed to be done. I wanted a new sprinkler in the front and the back, along with sod in the front and back, with flowers and bark around the edges, and since our fence was rotted and falling apart, i asked him to include a new fence into the quote. He told me he would write up a quote and have it to me in a few hours. Larry called me me a little over 1 hour later. I was very impressed with his punctuality. I had a budget of $15,000 to spend on the job but was pleasantly surprised when he told me the job would cost $13,700. I asked him, when could he start and would he would finish, and he told me could start Monday morning (June 9th) and would finish by Wednesday June 18th. We agreed and he was at my house the following Monday with his crew. I have to say in previous landscaping jobs, i seen the boss giving instructions, while his crew of guys did the actual work. But this was not the case, as Larry was getting down and dirty and work just as hard as his crew of workers. Each day, they arrived promptly at 8:00 am and left at 5:00 pm, even working on Saturday. Well i am pleased to say Larry and crew were completely finished with everything by 5:00 pm, Monday night(yesterday). I was very satisfied with the work, as our yard went from looking like the worst on the block to the best in the neighborhood. Afterwards, Larry asked me how i felt about the work and if there was anything else i wanted him to look at or make better. The answer was no, as my wife and I were very happy with how everything looked. Larry then gave me the bill, which i expected to be $13,700, but was shocked when i seen the bill was only for $12,850.00. Larry finished the job ahead of schedule and under budget. This was a first for me or my wife. I have never worte a review for anybody, ever but I decided to get onto to Angie's list and right a review because of his great customer service and the great work he did. I would highly recommend Nelms landscape to any and everybody who wants great work at a great price."

"The male receptionist who answers the phone is very professional. The technician who comes to apply the gopher bait is very friendly and helpful. This application usually lasts for a few months. <br /> In addition, they offer a variety of services on their website - which would have been useful had I previously known about them - but have only telephoned to offer me a fungicide treatment for the lawn. Since I do not need this, it is not applicable. <br /> However, I will not be using them in the future based on the fact that the female manager speaks to me in a condescending manner, or - if she happens to pick up the phone - will place me "on hold" in order to have someone else talk with me. <br /> <br /> <br />"
