"Fabian & Ryan of Bodine Construction redid our French drain that was 16 yrs old. They did an outstanding job – they were punctual, everything was done so neatly (see the photos), and they left the surrounding area in clean and perfect condition for new grass to start growing (where sod had previously been removed). Both employees were polite, extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with! I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing drainage work and would hire them again!"

Titan Landscaping is a full service landscaping company. What this means is that we have expertise and experience with every aspect of landscaping, from design to project completion to subsequent maintenance. We are based out of Carnation, WA, located about 30 miles east of Seattle in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. We will and do travel frequently for installion projects all over Western Washington. Our landscape maintenance service area lies within the Snoqualmie Valley and Sammamish. We are a small company, with a full-time staff that fluctuates seasonally from 3 to 10. We are painstakinly trained and skilled in the landscaping trade and therefore are able to perform almost all aspects of a project in-house. We will subcontract concrete and tree work only. We work with two companies in this respect solely. They have been extensively screened and tried to insure that their quality of work and character meets our standards. Titan Landscaping offers free on-site estimates. Because Angie's List business center and communication systems are so cumbersome, we typically never receive any notice or alert that we have been sent a message, which means response time may appear slow or non-existent. Please send us an email directly or call directly if you wish to contact us.

"It went excellent. Dennis came out for the initial estimate & suggested an even better way to do a planting area I was thinking of. His design ended up looking awesome & was exactly what I wanted in the end. Moetu lead the job which took just two days. I work long hours & did not get to interact with the rest of the crew. However my neighbor who works from home said they were very friendly, efficient, & considerate. They also spread grass seed over the remaining lawn after they finished the job, and it is now coming back to life after the hot summer. I love the end product so much. Kaya at the office was very responsive & communicative during the whole process. Even sent a picture of some rocks when I wasn’t understanding what they would look like."

"I've used ELM over the years for landscape installation / maintenance and had good service until recently. As part of my annual irrigation maintenance, I found that there were several leaks in my system that ELM installed. I inquired about warranty work, but they stated the warranty was void if they didn't perform all of the startups and shutdowns. Unfortunately, they did not respond when I reached out for the startup/shutdown service, or for the most recent startup, stated they were too busy to take the service. I ended up working with another company to do the $1400 repair and they found that the irrigation valves were of low quality and not properly installed. In addition, an entire pipe had to be dug up and replaced since it had pre-existing holes that appeared to have existed when the pipe was first installed. For this particular incident I would normally give an F rating, but I'm balancing that with the past good service received."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Kirkland, WA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
