"Brians crew completed the job in four days.  He had four workers the first two days and three  on the last day.  Everything was cleaned up after the job.  The guys worked hard putting in eight hour days with a 30 minute break for lunch.  They arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of each day.  All were very polite and helpful. Our neighbors commented this looks like a brand new house. <br /> He suggested additional mildew product be added to the paint as well as spider and ant repellent.  He said he expects to hear from us if we have any problems at all with the painting completed.  He will check back with us next summer to see how everything looks. <br /> Brian also does interior painting and we will certainly contact him when we need to do the work. <br />"

"Andy is extremely trustworthy.  He was exact on his timeliness for appointments and his estimates for materials and costs were "spot-on."  His expertise and artistry were untapped resources for me.  He was very responsive to returning my calls, at all times during the project.  He suggested time-savings ideas which in turn saved me money.   <br /> The crown molding looks great!  Just like it has always been there.  The base molding in the condo is much approved ... and we did not have to "rip out" the base molding that had originally been installed in the condo when it was built. It ;looks great! <br /> I was not there when all of this work was done ... I trusted Andy to do it right and it was.   <br /> I would hire Andy again ... and plan to do so when I update the 2 bathrooms.  I recommend Andy for his millwork skills and abilities.  He is focused on his customer's needs and entertains their ideas and wsihes. <br /> Thank you, Andy! <br />"

"I hired Gary and his crew to perform exterior painting. I hired him on a time and material basis. When given the bill, he had marked up the materials and charged me retail price when he bought it at a significant contractor discount. He also charged me for the time to go to the paint store to purchase it. He did not comply with my requests to see the invoices for the materials he purchased for my job. <br /> Also, he is somewhat disorganized in handling his crews. He would drop off 4 painters at my house. A couple hours later he would pull two painters off and send to another job. People were coming and going frequently. He did not aways show up, or would be several hours late when he said he would be there and did not notify me of changes in his schedule. I believe I was overcharged for hours as well. He is not always on site to supervise the painters. <br /> I was satisfied with the quality of his work, which I would say is slightly above average, but was very unhappy with his billing practices. <br /> <br />"

"Asked Jeff to quote on power washing and staining three decks on our home.He was responsive when I called, or if I had to leave a message, he would called back within the hour. He started and completed the job in the time he stated. Jeff called me during the job to alert me to a problem with one of the decks. He gave me an estimate over the phone to correct the problem - and it was a fair price. He did a good job, and because of the experience, I asked him to quote me painting the house."

"Fantastic! Because of the nature of the job, Dan's estimate was based on time and materials and, not surprisingly, some cost overruns were incurred. (There were any number of challenges, based on the age of the structure and the substance with which it had been coated previously.) However, Dan communicated with me about those budget variances and worked hard to minimize them. Ultimately, his final bill charged his cost for the overruns AND gave me the option as to what portion of the overrun to pay. Beyond cost, I was impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of Dan's crew, and especially his foreman, Jay. The crew arrived every morning by 7:00 and worked a solid 8 to 9 hours. To speed progress, they also worked on Saturdays. I was a little bit disappointed that the work wasn't completed as soon as I had hoped. However, once started, the crew was there every day until the job was completed, and their workmanship was excellent. I will definitely use Dan's services in the future! (The attached photos show the cottage stripped to bare wood and the final recoated version.)"
