"I’m reluctantly writing this review. Joe and his team installed a fence on our residential property not quite four years ago at a cost of $30,000.00. I was initially disappointed with the planning and execution of the fence. The staggering of the panels on the property grade was erratic and haphazard. The height of the fence along the grade varies significantly from panel to panel. Over time, parts of the fence have come loose and have fallen off. The fence currently leans and panels are skewed. One portion of the fence, about four panels, was so significantly compromised I asked Joe to look into repairing it, he responded that repair would cost $2,000.00. I declined having him do the repair. Joe is a nice guy and responsive. And as I mentioned, I reluctantly write this, but I do want to warn any future customers of Joe that you may not be pleased with the work."

"I am an interior designer in Los Angeles and hired Omega Design to renovate a bathroom for one of my top clients. The tiling job was one of the worst I have ever seen. The owner was very rude and would not admit fault or fix it. We had to spend several thousands of dollars to get all of the tile demolished and re-done the correct way. Very disappointing. I do not recommend."

"If you are in need of quality landscaping at a very reasonable price you should consider Luis Castro and his company, Conscientious Landscaping . Luis designed and installed sod and a pea-gravel sitting area for my yard and I very pleased!! I went through Angi and met with 3 landscaping specialists, and Luis and company was the best value BY FAR! They renovated and graded my yard and installed beautiful Marathon II sod in just 2 days with great care and fabulous results! Definitely recommend Conscientious Landscaping!"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Long Beach, CA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
