"These guys are INCREDIBLE. They are still out there right now. It's about 90 degrees and they have been at it for about 2 hours. We have hired them before and I continue to be amazed at what they accomplish. I called Douglas last night and left a voice mail. My husband was really itching to at least get the lawn mowed so he said that if Ramos couldn't come in the next day or so he was going to do it himself (the neighbors were giving us the evil eye...). Douglas called me today and said he could come by tomorrow night which was great. But low and behold, they pulled up this evening! They actually went out of their way to come I think, and we appreciate it so much. These guys are terrific. Extremely nice and very good at what they do. We highly recommend them! "The work went very smoothly. We contacted Tony at the start of the summer, and even though he was very busy, he was able to schedule us. We needed him to install a front and side lawn on our house. Before the work even started, he recommended based on the climate and typical summer weather that we should install a sprinkler system to keep the new turf alive during the hot dry end of summer. He recommended another contractor, and Tony was able to coordinate with that contractor. The sprinklers were installed expertly. Since trees were in place before, Tony and his crew were very careful to remove all of the roots they could find. Even smaller ones that the tree stump grinding crew missed, Tony hunted down and removed them because he knew that they could interfere with the turf's growth. Tony and his crew next graded the land which was quite unloved, and brought in topsoil. They mixed in the soil, the rolled everything nice and flat. Finally Tony and his crew put down starter fertilizer to make sure that the sod could get a good head start. Tony and his crew advised us on the appropriate type of grass to get, and he ordered the highest quality sod I have ever seen in my entire life. The sod was cut in early in the morning, and was installed by noon. The crew's attention to detail was meticulous. His landscaping decisions and re-shaping the garden beds really improved the look of our house. Finally, Tony and his crew brought in wonderful hemlock bark dust to pretty up the garden beds. Our lawn looks so beautiful that we get comments from people walking by on how nice it looks. It's literally like having a fairway in front of our house. My wife and I are extremely happy with the services Tony provided, and would definitely use him again when we work on our back yard next."

"We have been using LSC to maintain our yard for around a year and a half.  Before they began helping out, yard was unkempt, and our lawn was in particularly poor condition.  TJ's team mowed, thatched, aerateed, over-seeded, limed, fertilized, and mulched our front and back lawns.  Within a 1-2 months, the lawn was dialed-in.  They also trim the bushes/shrubs, and periodically spray for weeds.  The team is polite and fast-working, and we have never had an issue with the quality of work.  We struggled for a couple of years trying to maintain our yard ourselves, but we no longer have to worry about it with the help of LSC. <br />"

"I had used this company twice before, several years apart (we have lived in this house for 20 years), and had always been pleased with the quality and price of the work. I checked the List this time to look at others' experiences. We got one bid from another company first, which seemed high. I called Halstead's, and after a bit of initial phone tag, we connected. That day Phil came out to the house and went through the job in detail. He remembered the house and some of the trees, having done some of the previous work. After Phil wrote everything down, he carefully read back the work order - not a mumbled speed-read - so we could all make sure everything was accounted for. When the crew arrived about 10 days later, they were polite, professional, efficient - and cleaned up everything. They offered us pruning style choices on the apple tree - orchard or aesthetic. They immediately followed through on the couple of tweaks I wanted on the cedars (e.g., prune "bushiness" to keep from touching the deck)."

"John, Josh and one more guy arrived this morning and got right to work figuring out our old "DIY" system. They replaced all the valve boxes, valves, installed new sprinkler heads, and repaired a couple of pipe leaks. PLUS we have a new outside hose spigot near the vegetable garden which John suggested we add (great idea!). By the end of the day, everything was working again. We can't tell where any digging was done because they replaced the dirt and/or gravel exactly as they found it. "I have had Steve off and on for many years to care for my lawns. I have moved a few times so service was interrupted (once was in association and lawn care included). I now live in Clackamas county and not only are routine services (mow, fertilize, etc.) but at times, such as fall the gardeners prep the lawn and shrubs for winter. One house, Steve maintained the sprinkler system. I have known and used Steve for years. would recommend him."

"Fine. They came to give an estimate on a day when I was working, so I didn't get a chance to discuss specifics. Nevertheless they had a good reputation and the estimate was comparable with another one I had received for the same job. They came on the day they said they would and performed the job to my satisfaction. I would have appreciated a call to let me know when they would be arriving so that I could discuss the specifics with them (naturally they showed up in the 2 hour window when I had to leave the house- they were gone by the time I returned). My only gripe was that I sent my payment check with the Angies list coupon and the 10% deducted from the bill. I then received a letter requesting the "outstanding amount". When I called to get this addressed the receptionist was abrupt and unapologetic for the billing error. The communication with the company was a little below what I would expect and the service was a little anonymous, but I would probably use them again. Ultimately I have no complaints about the quality of the work or the cost."
