"Before engaging with Grant in Summer 2013, he and I walked my property and agreed on my needs:  Weekly cutting on Fridays, nicely trimmed, no mulch in the grass, no grass in the mulch (it results in weeds), no grass clippings on the sidewalks, driveway or in the street.  Grant assured me that all of these were doable and that I would receive a $50 cut for a premium result. <br /> I agreed, even though this was double what my previous lawn care person had charged.  I wanted a premium look, a well-groomed lawn for the weekends, and Grant promised that I would receive it. <br /> Over the last 12 month (growing seasons only), I have found it necessary to contact Grant and his crew on multiple occasions, because his commitment to me was not being met.  Specifically, on at least 10 occasions I have had to have the crew come back to remove grass clippings from my mulch or mulch from my yard.  My mulch looks hideous as a result of this so-called "premium service." <br /> My grass cutting day has bounced all over the map as well.  It was on Fridays (as agreed) in 2013, and then changed, without communication with me, to Tuesdays this year.  When I called to inquire, Grant's response was that "everyone wants their lawn cut on Fridays," refusing to honor the commitment that he had made to me. <br /> We agreed that he would mow on Thursdays.  Unfortunately, that lasted for about 1 month.  For the last two weeks, the crew showed up on Wednesdays.  When I asked why, I was told that it was due to the rain.  This was completely illogical.  I could understand cutting my grass a day or two late because of rain, but a day early?!  Really?!  We cut early because of the rain?!  I didn't just fall off of the turnip wagon, but to provide such an excuse for poor scheduling, one must wonder if Grant did. <br /> All I have received are excuses:  "The mower that we would like to use was damaged in an accident and I don't know when it will be repaired or replaced.  My crew is not very good; we have to keep replacing them because of drug and alcohol problems.  No one else complains (Grant trying to blame me for something that HE had agreed to do!--the ultimate insult!)." <br /> I could go on, but you get the picture. <br /> Bottom line:  I fired Grant on June 25, 2014.  I should have done so sooner.  And as soon as I replace him with a lawn service that provides great service at a fair price, and that meets their promises, I plan to introduce them to my neighbors, my HOA, and my church, all of whom I expect will soon be FORMER clients of Grant Key. <br /> Final Assessment is obvious:  I would never again use Grant Key and absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND him to my friends and neighbors.  You would be wise to avoid this high maintenance, whiney, take no responsibility for my actions, service company. <br />"
