"I called to inquire about a rattle in the garbage disposal and a slow drain in the sink. $50 to get him to flip on the switch and listen. He said the disposal is shot and would need to be replaced. A 1/3 horsepower was needed because anything stronger would not be ideal. They don't carry any 1/3 HP disposals. So after a quote for $500+ for GD replacement and $200+ for rodding the drain, the estimate all totaled was near $800! Paid the fifty bucks for the house call but declined to pony up the rest. Called a local handyman who opened up the disposal and removed the problem without replacing it for $40. works fine - and he unplugged the drain. Buyer beware of stings like this from companies who take advantage of customer ignorance."

The company was established in 1972 as P&J Heating and Air Conditioning by Pete and Jim. In the late 1980's, Air Wise and Best Heating (established in 1948) joined the family and American Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning was formed. The year 2003 is here and American Comfort joins a national franchise to offer clients a higher level of service. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here for the residential customers while maintaining the American Comfort name for the Commercial side of the business. It may seem like a lot of change, but, it was all done under one of the original owners. To this day, we are still family owned and operated.

"I have been a Club member of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning for a half-dozen years. They maintained my older furnace and air conditioner with regular service during this time. Every technician has always been excellent, and I have always been impressed with the quality of their service. Most recently, I chose them to replace my 25-year old furnace and air conditioner after carefully reviewing estimates from several companies. I made my decision based on a combination of service, value, quality, and confidence. Mike came first to measure and determine what system would be best for my house. Jaren and Joe installed the equipment on the day of service. They were completely professional and explained everything about the new system.
