"I have to give Scott and Five Star a very high recommendation. I had my garage, that I use as a workshop, previously painted by a carpenter. Unfortunately, the exterior paint he used was giving me headaches. I called in Scott and based on Behr's recommendation, I had the garage repainted. Scott was very sympathetic to my issues. He did some research into the paint and primer Behr was recommending. Also, he volunteered to turn a one day job into two days to make sure the primer had sufficient time to dry. Just as was recommended. He also supplied an air purifier at the end of the job at no extra cost. Finally, he also contacted and put me in touch with an air specialist in case I had any further issues. I was very happy I chose Scott and Five Star for my painting job."

"I hire them not knowing how this would turn out but at the end of the day they did a fantastic job. Very well communication between us throughout the whole project. Very friendly as well and always had a positive attitude. The work looks amazing and everything is lined up correctly, no cabinet looks off or croquet and the painting is done well too. I would recommend them to friends and relatives who may need general contractor services for remodeling. Guaranteed they will work with you and find a way to satisfy both sides."

"Alex (Project Manager) and his team were very Professional and did an outstanding job from start to finish! Alex was quick to contact me and set up a convenient appointment time to meet that fit my busy schedule. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a timeline with exact dates and times that his team would start and finish. His costs were very reasonable and on par with other estimates. This was right before Thanksgiving and his team was able to finish up right in time for the holiday. The painters were very meticulous, worked extremely hard, and cleaned up everything everyday. I cannot say enough about the great service we received. We will definitely use them again. Thank you."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
