"The pro has been servicing our Mclean property quite well for a couple of years. Our lawn looks good and we are satisfied with the service. The customer service is sometimes underwhelming but it gets the job done at a reasonable cost which is really becoming harder by the day to get."

"Reid and his crew do excellent work! I’ve contracted with him for spring and fall yard cleanup for the past 3 years and each time the experience is great. He is very easy to communicate with, always on time, he offers great suggestions that are reasonable and within my price range, and he cleans up very well after each job. His work far exceeds the competition and he is my go-to guy. Stop shopping around, you won’t be disappointed!! "

"I found Quality online and decided to give them a try for lawn care. I am 100% satisfied. Mike came to my home and introduced himself before he started mowing and he was so professional. He did a GREAT job on my lawn. I’ve hired a number of companies and they all fell short, but Quality exceeded my expectations. I’ll be a customer for years and I know my neighbors will be hiring them as well."

"When you pay premium monthly HOA fees to the development you reside in. You expect premium services for the work being performed. Unfortunately, with WinnScapes you will receive far less than that. When choosing a reputable company to work with find an alternative for your needs. There are many other choices and by far better companies that still care about customer service and quality control. Do not expect to find it within this company. Called in to express our concern that (2) car driveways were not being serviced completely. Leaving a foot and a half or more on each side of the driveway is never acceptable. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution!"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Newark, OH

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
