"We hired Diamond Finish Painting and Stain to repaint the entire interior of our home and found the crew a pleasure to work with, but communication from the owner who bid the job and works to be performed rather lacking. The crew clearly was not informed that the owner had promised in writing daily clean up, limiting the tools and materials to areas being worked in over even which surfaces were to be painted. In addition, the owner/contractor gave a 2.5-week schedule with a maximum time of three weeks and said 4 people would be working on the job to get it done in this time frame. While there was one day that four people worked on the house, the majority of the time there were only two. The job was completed in four weeks. The two primary members of the crew working on the job were both very nice and accommodating towards requests and reminders of things the owner had assured us would be done (in writing). Little things like limiting the washout of tools to one area instead of every sink in the hose and around several hose bis outside or dumping paint residue on the lawn, in hedges, or just the ground. Other things to be aware of. We have had several houses painted in the past 5 years and never had a contractor who did not at least attempt to use dust prevention methods when sanding surfaces like door jambs. We were shocked and dismayed that the crew was neither provided with nor used any type of dust vacuum when power sanding, nor did they wear respirators to avoid inhaling dust and debris when sanding. The end result of this was that after having our house painted we needed to spend an additional $700 to have our vents cleaned and a professional clean service professional vacuum the entire house despite the fact that we removed all furniture from the house ( except 1 oversized sofa and table in the family room) before the crew began work. All and all, the work performed was solid work. The painting looks nice and while not perfect it would likely not be noticeable to most people. We have since had both our contractor and real estate broker over to see the finished interior and both commented virtually the same that while, not the best work they have seen, that most people would not notice the imperfections that they do. Diamond Painting and finish were one of 6 bids we received for painting the inside of our home. They were the third-highest bid and almost double the two lowest bids, but ultimately we felt most comfortable with the sales pitch and commitments that the owner/contractor made and choose them. The finished painting is definitely a 4 in our opinion but the level of service, required follow-up from us, additional costs to clean the house, and time it took to complete the job definitely bring the overall rating of the work down."

"The job was to power-wash our red tile roof which had 22 years of accumulated pine sap, lichen, mold and who knows what else baked on it. Pacific Edge Painting came with 3 guys, each with a commercial grade power-washer, and went over the roof for over 10 hours making sure every square inch was cleaned. The result is beautiful! This outfit, headed by Juan Sanchez, obviously takes great pride in their work, and did not rest until the job was perfect. Their written estimate was very reasonable, and they stuck to it, even though the job probably took longer than they expected. I can't recommend Pacific Edge Painting highly enough. "From the minute we called Browder Painting for a bid to the completion of the job we couldn’t have been happier! Every member of their team was professional, thorough and competent. Everything that was promised by Nick was delivered, beginning with matching our paint, to placing a work trailer for their crew to access equipment along with a portable John for them to use while on the job to a final inspection with the crew leader. Juan Carlos did an exceptional job go stucco repair on a 50 year old house. With the excellent paint job, you would never know there was ever deterioration. They cleaned up each and every day, MUCH better than I ever would, and never wasted a minute of their MORE than 8 hour day. DJ and Juan Carlos arrived each day at 7:30 with a smile and left at 5:00, still with at smile and a job exceptionally done. They were both hard working men of integrity, always friendly, approachable and upbeat. Not sure how we ended up with the best crew leader at Browder, but DJ not only had a never ending smile but also a never ending desire to make sure we were pleased with their work. He made great suggestions and deep down only wanted me to be pleased at every turn - that I was and would recommend them to any and everyone!!"

"He gave us a detailed estimate as well as let us know he works alone, so the job would take a little longer than if he had a crew come in to paint.  After the job was finished, we were glad he took the time others don't (and we have experience with those who don't).  He is a perfectionist.  He spent the first two days washing and rinsing walls and woodwork, removing nails/screws, patching, etc.  He is a master at painting and understands that preparation is the key to a beautiful paint job.  He always let us know when he would arrive and when he would be leaving, and what he planned to do the following day.  He kept to schedule and finished when he predicted he would.  He left us with extra paint all correctly labeled so we could use it for touch ups if needed. We could not be happier, and we will never use another painter as long as Gino is in business.  His old school approach to getting everything prepared the right way before starting to paint was something we are not used to in this slap dash work world, and if you hire him to paint your home, you are guaranteed an A+ job at a very reasonable price."

"Derek and assistant Jeremy did a fabulous job painting the exterior of my house. Had him do a small on the interior before and was pleased so hired for exterior, which is a two story and a fairly large job. It looks so good! He's very particular and wants you to be happy. Even texted a picture to me at work one day because he didn't think I'd be happy with the trim color I'd chosen and he was right. Very pleased. Plus he and Jeremy are super nice and have good senses of humor and liked my dogs. Absolutely recommend Derek Shores Painting and plan to hire in the future to do more interior painting."
