"Received 5 quotes for this big, expensive job. JL was not the cheapest, nor were they most expensive. I had used them previously and was overall pleased with their work, so I decided to use them again. I was not disappointed. The crew showed up on time and systematically took down the tree in less than a full day. I was impressed. Nothing on the property was damaged and this was a feat in itself as the tree removal was in the back yard and on a hill. The JL Team had to remove all of the tree limbs, cut the tree trunk into discs, split the discs, and then HAND CARRY out each piece of the tree trunk - down a slope with rocks and multiple stairs. Clean up was perfect - no complaints. The foreman on the job did a great job and was able to make a few minor adjustments on the fly for my pruning requests. They even stacked up a small amount of wood that I wanted to keep for firewood. Would recommend."

"I got an estimate for yard work from Hometown Tree Experts about 7 months ago. One of the early estimates included pruning some tree branches on my neighbors property because they were growing into my property. My neighbor later did the work himself and rescinded permission for Hometown Tree Experts to prune his tree. I corresponded with Jacque in the Hometown Tree Office by email and she verified that my neighbors property was removed from the quote. I then paid a deposit and signed a contract for work in my yard only. The work in my yard was fine. Unfortunately, the Hometown Tree workers apparently did not have the updated version of the work order where neighbor’s property was removed. They cut off several additional branches from my neighbor’s tree without his permission. I was very upset to hear that Hometown Tree Experts had gone into my neighbor’s yard and cut additional branches off after he had already done the needed work himself. I have called and emailed Hometown Tree Experts many times over the past 7 months to ask what they were doing to address their error. They told me repeatedly that they were working with my neighbor to resolve the issue. I am very disappointed and frustrated to hear that this this issue is still not resolved. My neighbor ultimately hired another company to fix the work done by Hometown Tree Company. I was not involved with discussions with other company so I cannot comment on that.
