I committed to the future fertilizer treatments, and then inquired about hedge trimming services. He quoted me $35/hr. The next day, he called to verify that the job would take approximately 4 hours ($140 total). He also mentioned that if he needed more time than quoted, he wouldn't charge anything over the $140 quote. <br /> Today, he came out to my home and trimmed 40+ year old arborvitae that span the length of my driveway, as well as several other large arborvitae and a small tree. He and his son worked diligently on my property for the full four hours, including picking up the leaves (extra work, not asked for, but GREATLY appreciated).
