"Perfectly‼️ If you’re reading this review & need interior painting, you’ve just found the company to hire! Regent Interior GREATLY surpassed my expectations. I haven’t ever had any painting done that came close to measuring up to the work done by this “group”. Richard Blackwood not only owns this company (therefore, makes the bids on the work to be done), he paints along with the other guys & diligently sees that everyone’s “task” (including his own) is “quality-checked” before another is begun. Mr. Blackwood will give you a very reasonable bid and stands by his work. He will not stop until everything done meets with your satisfaction. But - take notice! When you agree on a day & TIME for the work to begin, you better be standing by the door because he will be there - ON TIME. ? He will ANSWER YOUR CALLS/TEXTS PROMPTLY as well. (Unbelievable, I know - but that’s true.) I cannot say enough to make anyone truly aware how the good the quality of the painting is & how pleased you will be with the results when Regent Interior does your work. —Sorry, you’ll just have to experience that for yourself. —If you need your interior painted, I highly suggest you call Richard Blackwood TODAY. If you are too long in making that call, you could very easily end up on a “wait list” - and one that’s not short! What a pleasure it was having Regent Interior working in my home. Richard, you are definitely a winner??????"

"Blue Tide Exteriors installed a new screened patio. Jordan and his crew were very professional and delivered as promised. They were there when they said they would be. He answered any questions or concerns we had. We love our new patio and would definitely recommend him to others."

"The quality of the work was very good.  I was very impressed with the drywall repair, as I was concerned it could not be repaired without being noticeable.  The painting was done well and quickly, and the installation of the molding looks good.  The contractor also advised ways to save money on the repair portion. <br />"

"I had wind damage to my roof in 2010. I requested an estimate from Ark-La-Tex Exteriors as my third estimate. His was much lower than the other two and I looked at the work from his and one of the other roofers. His work looked better and as the lowest estimate I chose him to re-roof my house. His employees began work within a day or two. They finished and cleaned everything up in a day except a couple of details which were completed early the next morning. That was in September of 2010. Roof still looks to have been replaced yesterday. <br /> <br /> My impression of Chase Lockwood is that he eats, sleeps and breathes his business. He is proactive, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and communicates well. Mr. Lockwood's employees have good work ethic and seem to enjoy working for him. From this one experience, I would recommend Ark-La-Tex Exteriors with no problem. One of the roofers I passed up is closer to the top of the list in grading, which is a mystery to me."

"I was so impressed with this couple. They sanded and painted both my bathrooms and laundry room. The cabinets now look brand new! They diligently cleaned up the ‘mess’ and I need to mention taped off as much as possible. I have other work and future projects I will be hiring them for! You can rest assured your home will be in good hands."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Plain Dealing, LA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
