"Everything in my dealing with Robbie and his team went exceptionally smooth, except for a "rain delay" due to the sod not being able to be cut. Originally scheduled for August 27th the installation was moved to the 29th. The crew arrived a little after 10AM and did an EXCELLENT job!!!! Took a little over an hour and a half and it looks great. Thank you."

"Don is a nice guy but was not capable of the large project we hired him for. We hired him to bring in 70 tons of landscape rock, artificial turf, and a paver patio. The landscape rock was sloppy and unfinished, the turf was not seamed correctly or placed in the correct direction, and the pavers were adequately installed but not to the level you would expect from a professional. We were forced to hire a separate company to correct his install issues."

There was no charge to provide me and estimate and he began work on August 13th 2025 and completed the work on the 14th before noon. I know nothing about sprinkler systems; he explained everything to my understanding and completed the work efficiently. He left my yard in the condition it was before he started. At New Mexico State University I was educated in Horticulture and Landscape Design. Under the Horticultural program we learned about Agronomy ( soils) , Entomology( insects) , Biology, Chemistry , Pathology ( diseases). Everthing that was needed to be a Professional. Sure I have my education but I've learned so much from my hands on experience. Many years ago when I started Summersweet Landscapes. Other landscapers would ask me. "Do you need a degree to do landscaping"? I answered " no you don't , but I do". I started Landscape Design when I was in high school. I was trained by a Horticulturist also from N.M.S.U. He taught us that the Horticultural field was a professional one. And that the industry should be respected as one. Professional. He had all students join Future Farmers of America. It was mandatory , inorder; to be enrolled in his class. We went through competition in design. In my last two years of high school competition I was on both District and State Landscape Design Championship team. I graduated with both high school diploma and two year vocational technical certificate in Horticulture. After high school I attended N.M.S.U. where I got my Bachelor in Science Degree in Agriculture. Thank you Eric and Carmela.
"We recently moved to NM and the yard at our home was neglected for a few years. The backyard needed to be cleaned up (including removing a few bushes and an old clothesline), a new irrigation system installed, and beds prepared for a variety of plants I want to install. Eric and his crew from Summersweet were excellent! I interviewed several landscapers and only Eric listened to what I wanted, offered his expert advice (his knowledge was gained thru both formal education and practical experience), and delivered what we agreed to have done! The Summersweet crew was hardworking and professional - it helped that I speak some Spanish. Carmela pleasantly and professionally handles all the behind the scenes logistics. Everything was done professionally and on time."

While the project took about 50% longer than expected, this had affect on the cost, and was mostly due to the unpredictable March weather. From the quality of the stone work to the willingness to plan, explain, and amend all along the process of completing the job Marius is willing to go above and beyond every step of the way. "I hired them to build a brick sidewalk with bricks that I had from a previous sidewalk. Overall the sidewalk looks good except instead of a gradual slope there is a low spot that puddles when it rains or the sprinklers are run. After agreeing on the additional bricks I knew I needed I purchased the additional bricks Then they told me I needed 21 more. These were never used and I still have them. They didn’t clean up the site well. There’s small piles of sand that were left."
