"Sam runs a good team.  They finished within a reasonable timeframe and kept me informed along the way.  He has a great system for recording time of the workers and for documenting progress.  I knew who was working and what exactly they were doing at any given time.  Really nice, hard working team of folks. <br />"

We are a full service landscaping company with over 29 years in the field experience. We do landscaping, lawn maintenance, horticultural maintenance/services (by appt only), sprinkler systems, low voltage lighting, subsurface drainage, fences, decks, fountains, ponds, Pergolas, pavers, flat work, site and yard prep/grading, bobcat work, and more. We are a small but effective company with no more than 2-5 employed personal at any given time which allows us to be "large enough to get the job done, but small enough to care".\n\n Estimates within a fifty(50) mile radius are free but those outside of this distance incur the cost of fuel usage, which would be credited back to them upon contract acceptance and issuance of a deposit to begin work. Service calls to repair irrigation, lighting, or subsurface drainage will incur a $75 rate for the visit/evaluation, plus a $65/hr charge thereafter to complete the repair if repairable. Clients will be given the choice of a repair, replacement, or cancelization of our services based on the conditions revealed but the service call fee of $75 will still be required to be paid at the conclusion of business on the same\nday. All fees and/or charges are due upon completion and receipt to the client, no exceptions. \n\nLawn maintenance services are available on a monthly/yearly subscription basis and all payments are due by the 1st of each month in advance of the services to be performed so as to insure repetitive, timely arrival and quality of service. Horticultural services, aka. plant trimming/maintenance, are by appointment only or can be included in the monthly lawn maintenance service pricing or schedule.\n\nTotal Landscape specializes in outdoor entertainment areas and venues. So, if you have an outdoor kitchen area you've been wanting to build, or just a deck or patio with a gazebo or pergola you would like to have along with the accompanying landscape, then give us a call. No job is too big or small.\n\n Those of our clients who are either actively serving in the Military, a retired Veteran, spouse of a KIA veteran, school teacher, and/or policeman (active) will receive 10% off of all services excluding monthly/yearly yard maintenance. Thank you for serving! We beautify America one home at a time.

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Saint-benedict, LA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
