"Initially, I thought it was fine. However, I was very curious why the contractor would not let me talk to the insurance adjuster. He told me to stay in the house and leave everything to him. (RED FLAG) I'm not sure why I let that happen. After the negotiations and the contract was signed, the contractor advised that he failed to charge me for the cost of the chimney. We specifically talked about the chimney cost and how he wasn't putting it in the contract so it wouldn't alert the insurance company (RED FLAG ) He would just charge me another $1200 for the chimney or not do the inside work. At that point, I should have cancelled the contract. The contractor yelled at me that he forgot and he made a mistake. Yelled at me in a very loud voice. He then did that "used car" sales pitch where he has to go talk to his boss and then comes back and sends me an email that they will fix the chimney for free. I spent about twice what my budget was, and I really am mad at myself for failing to get other estimates. That is on me. The roofers put a new roof on - my old roof was less than 5 years old - not sure if a simple repair would have been okay and left a mess in my yard. There was debris from my gutters and little blue things that they use when they replace a roof. I told the contractor that, and he said "the roofers don't make money if they clean up after the gutters and feel it's not their job". Okay, whose job is it? Who did I pay to do a job? Am i supposed to hire someone else to finish up what the roofers left behind. My pet peeve is when I pay someone to do a job, and they don't finish the job and say it's not their job. That makes me so angry. Again, I'm so mad at myself. I know better. I just felt like at the end of the day I was taken advantage of. I don't think I needed a whole new roof, I spent twice the money I had budgeted, and I had a mess to take care of. I use Angie's List so I can avoid being taken advantage of and considered the "old lady" who doesn't know anything."

"I contacted several roofers from Angieslist and gotten bids. I became comfortable with Titan in the process. I felt I am getting more value for the $$$ so at the end I went with them. The way Tim Niles (?) presented and persuaded is excellent. He answered all my stupid questions and he was not pushy. His knowledge about roofing is commendable. I even told him he deserves a honorable phD in roofing. 
1. Once I signed the agreement, I was forrtunate they were able to schedule my work in just two days. My project  took 2 days 
2. material (shingle bundles, ridges, weather proofing underlayment) has been delivered one day before work start. BTW, I like their synthetic underlayment called PALISADE.
3. First day, 8 member crew started showing up around 7:30 in the morning. They waited for the dumpster which showed up in few minutes and they started tearing off old shingles. Mine is 4000sft roof and it has a pillar type structure which takes while. First day was Friday. But rain was in the forecast for the rest of the week end. THIS IS WHAT I LIKED. They only opened the roof what they were sure they could install new shingles on that day. They started and finished back section and by 6pm they are gone. Trailer has been hauled away.
4. The weather forecast became reality. It rained and would have caused damage if opened the entire roof. I am very glad they didn't. It rained on Monday as well. They didn't show. Tuesday was clear day and again they started early and finished late 7:30pm.
5. They cleaned up very well after their work EACH day. Again important, because we had backyard BBQ party (small kids playing in the backyard) that weekend while the project is still ongoing.
6. They covered my bushes with tarps before they started the project
7. They have not charged me any extra for wood they used (3 sheets are included in the contract and they used 3 sheets). I find them very honest in breaking my pocket with extras.
8. Tim Niles (?not sure about his last name), came after couple of weeks of the project completion and double checked and confirmed with me that they did every thing they promised. Only then he asked for the check!
9. Later I got my GAF lifetime warranty in the mail as promised
I find them honest, prompt, professional and more than anything they value my business!
All in all I am extremely happy with Titan and I am sure if something unforeseen happens I am confident Titan will help sort it out.
