"The project is still not compete. We needed our lawn mown. It's tall, and that was clearly communicated - in Minnesota, there are laws about how tall the lawn can be. Ours is too tall, and we received a notice that the city of Minneapolis would mow the lawn, charge us for the service, and add a $200 charge. When I posted to Angi's List I was contacted by several companies. All but one required a year long contract to do the yard. Northern Lawns & Landscaping contacted us and didn t require a contract. An employee of Northern Lawns & Landscape showed up three hours later than we were originally told, and we were okay with that. He started to mow the lawn, finishing maybe three feet. He then called us and said the lawn was too wet, and he needed a ride-on lawn mower rather than the push one he had. He said that he would return Saturday or Sunday (June 7th or 8th) to finish the yard. He also asked for half the quoted money upfront. We had been told that mowing the yard would be $70, then $75, and finally $80 total to do. We gave the young man $40 and he never came back. We ve tried calling, texting, and messaging Northern Lawns & Landscaping to finish the job. They have denied ever coming, told us they only work in the Twin Cities and that we don t live in the Twin Cities (we do), and even told me they have no employees named Angie ."

I never heard back by Thursday on when they would be out. Got in touch with them again and they said it was never possible for them to be here before Saturday. By that time I couldn’t get any company out and me and my guests were eaten alive by mosquitoes. I now hear they will be here tomorrow, at this point I am extremely upset and will never schedule service with them again."
