"Our yard was in somewhat bad shape due to several years of neglect (I grew up in the city and am not well-versed in lawncare; despite all our efforts the yard was dying due to a combination of factors). Someone from Champion showed up at our door for a free estimate with hours of my leaving a message on their machine. I thought the quote I was given for lawn fertilization throughout the year was extremely reasonable. In fact, it is about 50% cheaper (approximately $78 per application for a yard that is about 1/2 acre) than what I would have paid to do the work myself (not to mention the time I would have to put in as well). You pay as the work is done. We have had two fertilizations so far and our yard looks so much better than it did two months ago. I am so pleased with the service provided by Champion so far!"

"It went great! The consultation was very thorough; Jim walked around my entire yard and explained each plant we came across. He clearly has a wide range of knowledge and I appreciated the care he took to explain it. He then took his time marking all of the areas that contained poison ivy, and when they came back to spray the plants it was very hands off on my part. They were in contact about when they were coming and when they were on the premises, and also were clear that no action was needed on my part. The cost also includes a guarantee for the treated areas, so that gives me peace of mind when I have small children running around!"

It was quite reasonable, so I called back to make another appointment for the work to be done. They were very punctual. They walked around the yard with me, explaining what they would be doing, and answered all questions. They pruned many branches from 3 large trees that are very near our house. They climbed the trees, as well as using the cherry picker. They took down one large storm-damaged maple with branches over our chimney. And also took down another tree that was forked, and rotten. They cut up a lot of the wood for firewood and chipped the rest. The cleanup afterwards was immaculate. They were extremely personable and professional. I was very impressed. I have hired other tree service people in the past, but I highly recommend Northern Tree Service, and I will definitely call them again. <br />"

They go above and beyond expectations and the pond looks like it was always there, as they have a great eye for what would look natural.
