It soon became evident that landscaping was new to the company. Any other workers that showed to help Preston were less experienced and seemed bettter experienced at grass cutting, not a project of this scope. Several thousand dollars extra was spent on shade king zoysia sod that was underestimated in the original bid. About a 100 yd patch of sod died shortly after placement, Nicholson Landscaping was unaware sod company had a policy of replacing sod if it died. Owner stepped in and spoke with Winrock, replacement sod secured for this Spring, however Owner found out that Owen Nicholson has decided to get out of the landscaping business. Owner witheld $1000 from $22K final billing as a precaution. That was a good idea as the re-sodding needs to be hired out. After a rain, standing water remains in the backyard. A lawn service company has been hired to treat sod for weeds - Nicholson Lawn services is not licensed for chemical applications."
