"We have known Josh professionally for years. He originally installed both sets of solar panels as well as our solar water heater system. We continued to call on him over other companies when we need service and cleaning. When our system suffered some damage from a huge storm, we even waited for him over having anyone else service our unit. He is honest, hard working and always shows up when he says he will."

We are a family owned and operated Plumbing Company. We take pride in our customer service and doing the job right the first time.

"Live in Brevard Co. & have a leaking water pipe which seems to indicate that your property is due for re-piping? Call Doug Herrell Plumbing! I did and couldn't have been better served! This is a smoothly operated family business, now specializing in re-piping. Doug and his crew are very experienced tradesmen. Furthermore, from my initial contact throughout the process, Doug & Amy Herrell were efficient, clear, responsive, and friendly, answering my every question. The Herrells and their other expert plumbers conducted themselves in a professional and respectful yet pleasant, neighborly demeanor. Doug's price was SIGNIFICANTLY less than the bids I'd been given by two other plumbing companies. The final cost matched the estimate and was paid upon completion of the job, whereas the other two companies would have required an advance of $2000 or $2250 prior to beginning work. Additionally, whereas one company told me that the job would take about two days and another company said that it could take up to three days, Doug Herrell and crew spent less than five hours from arrival to completion! This old house is approximately 1500 sq. ft. with two bathrooms, one kitchen, and a laundry room. My attic, where the PEX was laid and dropped from, of course, is a crawl space attic. The worker assigned to THIS job worked in stifling heat and did so perfectly with nary a complaint! On the fly, a re-routing decision was made regarding the piping to the kitchen sink. Although I had emptied my belongings from every area I'd understood work was to be done, I didn't anticipate this altered strategy--the route to the kitchen sink. No problem--a worker politely, without complaint, carefully removed (setting aside) the 3 drawers that I had not. Doug worked with four men in a strategic manner: workers coordinated in a systematic manner, each focusing on their assigned tasks according to Doug's knowledgeable direction and assistance. The cross-linked polyethylene PEX for potable hot and cold water that they use is Viega PureFlow, which has favorable reviews online. Viega's warranty is for 10 years. Doug and his crew finished with insulating foam pipe sleeves and fire-resistant foam to fill voids. Their labor is "guaranteed" for one year. The work included installation of a new shut-off service valve (re-positioning the point of entry for water from the meter into the house), a new expansion device on my water heater, a new clothes washing machine outlet box and stainless steel hoses (vs. another plumber's bid instructing the homeowner to supply same), new shutoff valves and supply tubes under all sinks and toilets, replaced hose bibs outside the house and installed an ADDITIONAL new spigot (hose bib) via a pipe drilled through the concrete block, with my permission--something I certainly didn't expect (but have been enjoying) and for which there was NO extra charge. All of Doug Herrell Plumbing's work not only (a)replaced copper pipes (which had sprung at least 4 leaks over recent years, apparently due to nearing copper's AVERAGE lifespan and, as I understand it, due to being damaged even further by pitting of pipes under the foundation caused by pebbles in our sand plus by our hard water causing pitting in the copper pipes in the walls), but was so professionally completed that (b)other critical issues were brought up to current code. The City Permit was included in the total price (vs. another plumber's bid adding the permit cost as extra for about $93.75 and the third plumbing company stating that they do not pull permits as required by City statute--omission of which can result in significantly increased costs and delays, etc.) and was expedited completely by Amy, Doug's wife and business partner. Amy arranged with the City for inspection (vs. another plumber having told me that such would be my responsibility) and notified me when to expect the City inspector (the following day). Amy had also handled the "Notice of Commencement" document (vs. another plumber stating that it would be up to us to take that to the Brevard Clerk of Courts). The work by Doug Herrell Plumbing was SO "up to snuff" that the City inspector was in and out in a flash! Immediately thereafter, the drywall repair expert that they recommended worked through the afternoon to expertly patch up the plumbing holes that had been left open for the City inspector. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff Snyder! Not only did he labor hard the day after the re-piping work, having reserved that day for this house, but he'd come out the day before to consult with Doug and review every hole that would need to be patched. This old house has plaster throughout; Doug's crew accessed the walls by cutting the plaster as cleanly as possible. Jeff repaired the holes with plaster, demonstrating expertise and craftsmanship but charging no more than he would have if using drywall; Jeff's price was quoted at the same time as Doug's re-piping estimate had been once I stated that, indeed, I'd like to hire Jeff to patch the walls. The entire re-piping process (with paperwork and phone calls handled by Amy Herrell) couldn't have been more efficient--plumbers for a half day, inspection the following morning, thorough patching of walls by expert Jeff that same day, AND minimal debris left by workers (Doug's crew as well as Jeff used tarps plus swept up after themselves)! Excellent results at the lowest price!"

"Known company for 25 yrs..always did a good job..we have an old house so the pipes need attention from time to time. Leslie and Nikki were always nice, on time and the price was reasonable, until Melody was hired. She sent past due bills, check had cleared. Charged $315 and wasn't fixed. Still had problem. Able Air has become Brevard County's largest residential and commercial service provider along with being Brevard's installation specialist. We have 65+ team members and 37 vehicles all working toward the same goal - Able To Be There When You Need Us. Gary Whitlock has a simple philosophy when it comes to business - Listening. Able Air, Inc. has taken that simple concept and used it as the foundation on which to build one of the largest air conditioning sales and service providers. We care about our customers and employees. We listen to our employees. The 65 team members employed at Able Air have ideas that help make our business and reputation grow. Mr. Whitlock also believes in loyalty to employees and customers. In the business world of buy-outs and consolidations we have established a hometown business devoted to providing sales and service without having to answer to out of town corporate heads with their minds strictly on the price ledger. We go out of our way to make sure our customers are happy with all our products and services. "Able To Be There When You Need Us" is our motto and Able Air has kept that promise for more than 27 years. Able Air provides 24-hour service with 37 vehicles on the road.

"TERRIBLE! The leak was fixed, only where I told them where to look, that is, inside the association’s conduit box by the rooftop compressor. Male tech was polite and efficient, but gave constant excuses for the association, which owned and caused the leaks. Gave an estimate to repair of $1300, but I was invoiced $1430 (excessive prices). They promised to text a photo of the leak taken by the technician, but did NOT, even after many follow up calls. The office staff (several females) failed to return telephone calls. They charged $95 for prepaid maintenance that I did not order. When I requested the photo and a refund for the $95, they said my bill would then go up several hundred dollars. There is NO such "tricky dickey" supporting verbiage for that on the invoice. VERY NONSENSICALLY TRICKY AND SMART A** RUDE! 6 years ago, I had a good experience with a different technician there. No smart a** “tricky dicky” billing or verbal stuff was involved. There were No excuses for the association."

"Will not use this company again. Paid $925 to have a back pressure relief valve installed at my place of business and it failed the city’s first inspection. When I contacted them I was told to call someone else. I was told their warranty for labor had expired— it was installed 18 months ago. It should last for years. The owner had no interest in talking to me much less coming out to inspect it to see what the problem was. I was relegated to the receptionist. My commercial neighbors who used someone else have had zero issues. I guess I should have known better since Carl Kandiko's business card has an image of a man with his head in a toilet. Steer clear of this plumber."

FAQs for solar panels for electric system repair projects in Sharpes, FL

Solar panels are fairly low-maintenance, but they do need occasional attention. A quick wash a couple of times a year and a yearly professional inspection help maintain efficiency. Watch for cracked glass, loose wiring, or hail damage; small fixes cost far less than waiting until output drops. If a panel is badly shattered, replacement—handled by a licensed pro—is often the smarter call.

Most panels last 25 to 50 years, so replacement is rare. Swap them out only when output drops noticeably, the warranty has run its course, or storm damage makes repairs impractical. Track your production data; if efficiency continues to slip even after minor fixes, it’s time to consult a solar installation professional and consider replacing a panel.

Homeowners are accountable for solar panel repairs unless their system is under a leasing agreement. Warranty coverage may reduce repair expenses for specific components. Warranty protection covers repairs when panels fail due to installation errors or unexplained issues. However, if a unit cracks due to an impact, the homeowner is responsible.

Always contact your installer and review your warranty before initiating repairs. Many manufacturers offer warranties ranging from 10 to 20 years. Inverters have a 10-year warranty, panels carry a minimum five-year workmanship warranty, and the overall system is protected for 25 years.
