"I needed to find a contractor to build my front porch project and after talking to 4 of them and never heard back from them, I found Rickey Thru Home Advisor. I gave him a call and he was pleased to know about my project. He is amazing, understanding, professional, kind, pleasant to work with.He explained everything that I needed to know and updated me every step. He was on top of everything. Very organized with each team that he has. We had a little struggle with the county, for the permit and inspections but that didnâ  t stop him and he made thru . Very patient!! He works with amazing people. Billy and Jen did the finishing touches on my porch. They did a. great job. Im so thankful that I met them all and for the work they all done on my new Porch. NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!! Thank you Rickey and the team. IM IN LOVE WITH MY PORCH ð ¥° He is a man of God!!!"

"Don and his partner did a wonderful job installing my wall mounts and large screen smart TVs for me. They were on time with their arrival and we're very punctual and efficient with their time to complete my installation needs. They even installed a new ceiling fan I purchased recently, which they did a great job on as well. Totally recommend them for any home entertainment installations needed as well as their security solution that we will be looking to do in 2024."

"This is the second time we have used Bam's. We have a multiple trunk palm in the front yard and a much larger large leaf bearing tree nearby. The branches of each were intertwining. Bam's sent a multi person crew with professional equipment trunks and trimmed both very nicely as well as taking out limbs from the larger tree that overhung our roof. Best of all, their fee was the lowest BY FAR! (and very fair for the work done.) Clean-up was meticulous - couldn't be happier."

"Excellent quality and workmanship. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Update Dec 2020: After 2 years, the lights continue to look amazing. Really durable materials, and their customer support goes above and beyond (I had a power outage and they walked me through how to reset the lighting.)"

"I recently relocated to Tampa and found it difficult to source furniture and decorate a condo. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of working with Daniel who was a true pro and extremely responsive to my needs. We discussed my style and tastes and Daniel understood what I wanted right away. He made excellent suggestions on everything from sofas to lighting to flooring and even helped with artwork and general placement. I would highly recommend Daniel and will continue to work with him in the future."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Spring Hill, FL

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
