"This is a small, owner-operated business with diligent and trustworthy support employees. Kevin communicated with us regularly and was clear in his explanations. His estimate included minor repairs to siding. Where he noted defects (mostly due to aging) he pointed them out and even took some pictures to clarify what was wrong. He caulked areas, prior to painting, that should have been taken care of by the original builder. We chose a rather bold color to be applied to vinyl siding. He took the time and effort to make sure that shifting of the siding would have a minimal impact on the final appearance. His final invoice was more than fair considering the quality of his work. His attention to detail was incredible! He was easy to work with and we can't recommend him highly enough."

"This review is overdue. I am guessing on the amount paid and the exact date; it has been long enough that I might be off a little in my recollection. I think I had a hard time writing it because of the circumstances surrounding the work. My husband and I spent a lot of time researching replacement windows and were just about to take the expensive plunge when he was diagnosed with cancer. Plans changed. But the wood trim on the exterior of the house was in terrible shape, especially after two hard winters. If we were not going to replace it, we needed to maintain it before another winter rolled through. <br /> <br />Joe (painter) debated, suggesting that we could wait until spring and the house would not fall apart. But it was important to me that my husband not be in a room with mold on the interior of the storms and that he have the comfort of knowing that this job was done before recuperating from treatment and surgery. It was symbolic, I think--we wanted our house in order even as things were falling apart elsewhere. <br /> <br />Joe and his crew fit us in. It was touch and go at times as they worked around the weather through late fall and early winter. There were days it was too cold or wet to do anything, but they managed to get everything done before winter. And they did a great job, with a lot of attention to scraping and repairing before actually painting. The house looked great. My husband had that satisfaction through the holiday season and the weeks he was home after his surgery. <br /> <br />The house still looks great. But my husband did not make it. It was a brutal cancer and surgery, and he developed complications. I miss him every day. <br /> <br />I will always be grateful to Honsowitz Painters. The work they do is top quality. And they are just decent and kind people. Joe is old school, gruff on the outside, but as solid as they come. My husband liked him.
