"They are a local company.  He stayed here for about 20 minutes and gave us some ideas on what we could do.  We felt that his prices were a little bit high.  They were more than what we would want to pay for something that we could get the neighbor kids to do.  We just thought that it was a bit expensive.  But he was good enough to come over and give us some pointers and that was good.  He is a very nice and pleasant guy.  He gave us individual prices like how much it would cost to get two of his guys over to clean out the rear stirred of our half acre parcel so we were looking at $72 an hour.  We just could see doing that.  We are seniors on fixed incomes and we did not have the range to do that.  That is one thing that he quoted.  These may be the going rates in the area.  We do not know since this is the first time we called for any questions like that.  He quoted $72 an hour to cut down weeds in the back yard and it is probably three or four hour job.  We have a lot of 4 foot high weeds here and that would be around $400.  We also needed some valves put in.  He actually said that he would give us the name and number of someone who would actually do that kind of work.  We have not followed up on that yet.  My husband has been very ill and we have not been able to take care of a lot of this.  He was a very nice guy, very positive, very customer service oriented, and very easy to talk to.  He gave us pointers that we could do and we appreciated that a lot.  So we had an idea where we could start.  We know he is very busy but was able to fit us into his schedule which we really appreciated.  He was very forth coming as far as what they charge, just looked around the property we have half an acre here and gave us some ideas on what we could do.  My husband and I talked about it and right now we cannot afford to have it done.  We are going to get family, going to get our grandkids here and we need to keep them busy."
