"Knowing nothing about procuring landscaping services for our first house, and not really having the time or energy to figure it out, Kevin was a tremendous help and made the whole process basically painless, except, of course, for the money we had to spend for the actual landscaping. (I won't hold that against him, though). He was always on time for our appointments, and accommodated our schedules by meeting with us mostly on the weekends. Our first appointment was for him to check out our property and giving him our general ideas as to what we wanted. He asked us various questions as to our budget, our tastes, and the anticipated uses for the outside, and gave us his thoughts as to what we could do. We weren't ready to commit right then, but he followed up with us over the next several months until we were ready to pull the trigger.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> He drew up the basic plans, and gave us a detailed listing of everything that had to be done, from putting in the drainage/irrigation, limited hardscaping, paving, plants, and so on. Although he insists that he is not a landscape architect, because he has much experience in the field, he was able to put together a concrete plan from the general wishlist we gave him.  With the knowledge he has of his extensive network of landscaping contractors and their availability, cost structure, and skills, he selected three to which the job was bid out. In terms of availability and cost, one in particular stuck out, and we set up an initial meeting with him (Paul Yoo of Greenland Landscaping, who took it from there).  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> One major part of the project I was dreading somewhat was getting the approval from the HOA, I was hearing some of my neighbors experiencing much difficulty in this regard. At multiple levels of review I did receive some feedback/change requests, and all I had to do was forward it on to Kevin, who accommodated their requests. It didn't require much of anything on my part, or the contractor's part, and I think this is where his value lies, both to me as the homeowner, and the contractors that he works with. "Pedro is very detailed oriented. All was great, but he adding costs, which I thought was included in the initial proposal, but I still rated cost as a B. Unfortunately he had to switch jobs so he did not fully complete the care of my newly installed lawn. He did come back 3 times to check on the lawn, but didn't do the final maintenance. I would have hired for ongoing maintenance, but he was not available."

The estimate was a bit higher than the others but comparable. I went with another landscaper mainly because SB Landscaping wasn't able to start as soon as the other. "Jay runs an excellent company in Janus. No one wants to see a rat diving under their house as I did the other night. I immediately logged onto Angie's List and began researching options for rodent/pest control. I was very impressed with Janus' website which reflected their knowledge of what their business is and their experience in the industry. I knew that I wanted to go with a local owner-operated company for this project due to the sensitive nature, I did not want to be on hold if something went awry. <br /> Jay came out the very next day to do an inspection and provide me a quote. He was punctual, professional, and friendly.We worked out a fair deal and he went right to work setting up traps. <br /> Within the first week Jay has come back to my house twice to collect the rats that have been caught and reset the traps. He's done it usually within a few hours of me calling, and even though I signed up for weekly visits he has not made one issue of coming back whenever a rodent has been caught.  <br /> No one wants a rodent or pest problem, but when you have one I am sure we all want to work with a vendor that understands how important it is for you and your family to sleep in peace. "Very pleasant interaction with everyone at Bragar Landscaping throughout the entire process. Ken Bragar is able to explain the ramifications of all decisions that need to be made along the way. Everything was done according to approved plans (written descriptions as well as design layouts). Price points were discussed at every stage. Work was performed on time and with consideration for my schedule and home access. Work crews were very professional and quite nice. The results are everything I had hoped for when the job was first put out for bids. When a friend dropped by, all I heard were raves about how things looked. Neighbors' comments have been most gratifying, too! <br />"

"They are a national company and my experience with them has been very positive. They take my lawn and miraculously make it thick and lushing green. I have just signed up a contract with them for patching, fertilizing, weed care and analysis of the soil. They come out six times. I have not shopped around and I am surprised that they are this low priced."
