I have 20 plus years of experience and obtained construction knowledge. I accept Visa and MasterCard. No job or project is too small. If you want to DIY but lack the skills and tools, I will work with you and teach you how to perform the task. I am prompt to respond, very professional in attitude and appearance. Moisture instrusion inspections. I am honest and will tell you that a handyman is not what you need and suggest you contact a specialty contractor is I cannot perform the task appropreately. I charge by the hour and it is very reasonable. I do not markup any materials required for the project. I can give you and idea of how long the task or project may take, however, it does not account for unforseen or unavoidable problems encountered during the project. I deliver a very skill craftmans performance and my mission is to "get it done right - the first time".

"On March 16th of 2021, I had our pool cage refurbished. I had actually put down a down payment of $1500 on December 14,2020, but they could not get to my pool cage until 2021 (after many calls to the company). The job was finally finished, and the balance paid on March 25, 2021, and looked beautiful. I wrote a glowing review. I should have waited. After several rainy days, I noticed that many of the screws they had replaced were starting to show signs of rust. I have been calling them since then (it is now March 2022) to try to get someone out to my home to correct the problem (which I was told was just a matter of the screws being "screwed too tightly" and they just needed to be "painted over". I had never heard of this and the screws that they took out lasted years (since 1995) before any showed signs of rusting - definitely NOT within a few months and some rain! I am so angry that I paid $6,500 for this awful job and horrible customer service. They were the highest bid, but I fell for the "best for the job" line and the "we stand behind our product" lies. I have contacted them several times but calling and being polite, patient, and "nice" have not worked. I am writing this as a warning to others. I had also believed the glowing reviews."

"My experience was less than desirable, I contracted with Integrity to have my pool cage repainted in April 2024, which was done and paid in full, however, there were issues. The entire pool cage was left with a sandpaper type texture (was original smooth). When I brought this up, I was told that it was ‘windy’ and that it was overspray, if that was the case, then why did they paint and not wait for another day that was not windy? Or advise me that was a possibility before painting? They did come back out, spot sand a couple of areas, hand painted those spots and considered the job complete. Most of the pool cage still has the sandpaper texture which prior to painting was completely smooth. An additional issue that I had was that there were parts of the cage that had imperfections that were not addressed (i.e., sand, priming, etc.) which I was told would be done. It appears to just be painted over as one area flaked up the next day. When I pointed them out, they advised that was rust (it is an aluminum cage look up yourself if aluminum rusts). When I addressed my concerns with Integrity, they were dismissive to me and had an excuse for everything as to why/how it was my fault. Which if accurate, then in my opinion they should have brought up these issue(s) prior to painting? Just my experience, I hope that your experience is different, given my experience I would not recommend them."

FAQs for garage door spring repair projects in Tampa, FL

Garage door springs last for an estimated number of cycles over a defined period. Extension springs last 8,000 to 15,000 cycles, or seven to 12 years, while torsion springs last 10,000 to 20,000 cycles, or eight to 15 years. Regular maintenance, balanced usage, and professional tuneups can extend their service life.

A skilled technician can replace two garage door springs on a standard door within 30 minutes to one hour. However, the repair time increases for conversion between spring types or when servicing a multi-door system. Every spring is installed with precision to preserve balance and safety, and a professional will test the door after a repair or replacement.

If one garage door spring breaks, you should replace both springs because balanced tension is essential for safe operation of the door. Replacing both springs ensures the door remains level and prevents additional stress on the remaining spring. Most doors are designed with paired springs, and using mismatched components compromises safety. A professional technician will advise replacing both springs to keep the door working properly and safely.

The three most common reasons that garage doors break include wear and tear, rust, and improper maintenance. Rusted spring parts can lead to the coils degrading faster than they should. In addition, not following a maintenance schedule or getting regular tuneups can lead to quicker wear and tear.

The best way to make your garage door springs last longer is by having them maintained by a garage door specialist. This will help catch issues early, and the specialist will also spray the springs with silicone-based lubricant to keep rust at bay. During the maintenance service, the tech will make sure the door is properly balanced to ensure the springs have the right amount of tension.

It is unsafe to manually open your garage door when a spring is broken. A damaged spring causes an unbalanced door that can move suddenly and dangerously. Do not attempt to operate the door yourself. A broken spring compromises the system’s balance and can lead to severe injury or further damage. Professional repair technicians are equipped to safely handle the door, replace the faulty spring, and secure the system to avoid hazards.
