"Connor was very quick to contact me right after I submitted my aeration service request for quotes through Angi. He came out a day later which was last Saturday to see my yard and then immediately provided a very reasonable price for his aeration service. On the day of service Connor provided frequent updates as to when he would arrive at my house to do the job."

"I have extensive damage to my lawn due to moles, so I needed to have the whole lawn reseeded. I decided to have the lawn aerated with their two direction aerator and then seeded. They said your lawn would be thick come spring time and would have very few if any weeds. They were right, grass even grew in shaded areas that would never take shade seed. They left you with a small bag of sun seed and small bag of shade seed to touch up any areas that need some attention. Very happy with the results. I used a little of the shade seed in the spring and that was all."

"I contacted multiple landscape companies I found on Angie's List, and most of them told us they had a $5,000 minimum before they would even listen to what we wanted.  When I spoke to Troy, he listened to what we wanted done and scheduled a time to come out to our house right away.  He walked our property with me and discussed the landscape wall, as well as some wishlist items we plan to do in the future.  Troy emailed us the quote the next day for the wall and a lawn extension.  When we finally made the decision to have the wall installed, Troy was very honest about having a busy spring schedule, but he was still able to fit us in and the wall was built a couple of weeks later.  The wall looks great!  It's well built, and makes the front of our home look so much better.  We're one of the first homes as you drive into our neighborhood, and quite a few of our neighbors have stopped to tell us how great our front yard looks and asked for the contact information for our landscaper.  We are saving up for the lawn extension, and we would also love for them to built a backyard patio for us.  This is definitely a company you can trust to do great work at a fair price.

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Warrenton, VA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
