"Hired Will McCarthy of WILLPOWER Stump Grinding to remove a large maple tree stump from my yard. I originally reached out to get an estimate for the job, and Will responded within 24 hours. He was immediately available and able to meet with me soon after the initial contact. His estimate was reasonable and competitive, and as soon as my utility company marked the area through Dig Safe, Will removed the stump, distributed the stump remains in the designated area, and cleaned up the entire site. His communication, quality of work, and availability were all outstanding. I highly recommend his stump grinding business. 5 star operation."

"They came when they said they would and looked carefully at the two tress that had damaged limbs. Elivon pointed out more twisting damage than I had noticed and suggested that those limbs be removed for the health of the tree. They then carefully removed the very large broken trunk that had come down in the strong winds and cleaned up every bit of the tree remains, down to twigs that had to be raked up. Then one man took the leaf blower and tidied up all the leaves that had fallen during the winter. While some crew members then fed into the chipper all the broken branches from along the driveway, others went all along our stone wall and picked up all the broken pine branches that had come down in the big winds and ground them. This was way more than I had contracted for, and I had the feeling that I was being cared for, not just having work done. And they were the lowest bidder. I recommend S1Tree service with enthusiasm. "Marquis Tree Service was great from start to finish on this big job. John Marquis came out to scope the work, calculated the price on the spot, and tagged the trees that needed to be removed. A few trees were within the wetland buffer zone, so John wrote an excellent, detailed letter to our Conservation Commission to get approval for the removal. I had to be out of town the day they were scheduled to take down the 13 tall pines near our house, and I was worried about not being there to deal with issues, but John assured me all would be well. He called me that morning before they started the job, called me during the job to discuss taking down one more tree that hadn't been tagged initially, and confirmed when the work was done. I expected some damage to the lawn or driveway, but when I got home the only evidence that the crews had been there was the missing trees. I've used two other tree services over the past 20 years, and Marquis wins. They have the right equipment for the biggest jobs, the office staff is responsive, the crews work carefully and efficiently, the owner knows his stuff (he holds degrees in forestry and is a certified arborist), and (surprisingly) their price was competitive. I'd trust them with the biggest/trickiest jobs."
