"All Under One Roof recently replaced my roof on a 3-story, 200+ year old Federal in Newburyport. It was a big job that entailed removing 3 layers of rolled roofing/asphalt shingles; removing original skylight & taking down old dormant chimney to roof line and roofing over both; installing ½ “ plywood and asphalt shingles over new roof. I can’t say enough good things about All Under One Roof. They had a great crew and did a fantastic job. In fact, my neighbor across the street who had a birds eye view of work in progress, then hired them to replace his roof. John Lanzafame, the company’s owner, is a jewel. He’s very professional, responsible and communicative – a “take charge” guy in the best meaning possible. I was completely comfortable and confident that I was in good hands, and did not have to worry about micro managing the work. I should also point out that All Under One Roof began work on date scheduled (a month in advance) and completed the job (start to finish) in short order. I highly recommend All Under One Roof. I have used them twice now and in both cases they were very responsive to phone calls and was able to schedule both jobs very quickly. In both cases they took their time to make sure the underlying surface/wood was replaced and fixed prior to roofing."

"Called On top roofing for an estimate, it took several weeks to get back to us, got the estimate and agreed to have the work done. A few guy showed up one day and started working, we were not notified they were coming to work,good thing we were here that day. They did the job and left without ever communicating with us about the work. We did a walk around and discovered that some of the work was not completed. So called the company back and the owner came out to look at the job, he said it would be about another $100. To complete. We were not happy because this was supposed to be in the estimate we agreed on. The workers show up again unannounced and did the job. We then received a bill for $200. More, again this was not what was agreed upon when talking to owner. We were hoping to form a relationship with this company for future work, but that's not going to happen, there was no communication and even with a written contract they will somehow charge you more than agreed on."

"Roofing company sent someone within a few hours of my call (on May 22 or 23) to do an estimate. Company president (Parker Willard) and his son (Parker, Jr.) arrived, and were punctual and personable. They showed me photos of the roof and explained what needed to be done. An estimate was provided by email within about 24 hours. I signed the contract and offered to provide a deposit, later that week. I was told no deposit would be required for this small job. We were told that the work would be scheduled the following week. The work was actually done on June 7 and 8, consistent with a call made to us earlier that week to schedule it. It was a one-man job, for about 1-1/2 days. The worker was pleasant and readily responded to a request to check a couple of shingles he had not done. From what I can see of it, the work was done neatly and appears to be what we asked for. (I can see the finished bay window roof from a window above it.) All in all, we were quite pleased. Note: I put "N/A" on price because I chose not to get other bids, so I do not know if another roofer would have charged more or less than we paid. I went sole-source because of the relatively small amount of work, this company;s A rating, their responsiveness to my call, and limitations on my own schedule that week."

I didn't know the name had been changed to "Newton Roofing Residential", and was under new management/ownership.I called and Mr. Melo answered right away. I explained the problem. He personally came to inspect the following day. I had feared a new roof might be needed, but he explained the damage was likely caused by a damaged (perforated) shingle. One of his crew came out 2 days later and replaced the shingle. The price was reasonable. I also noted another shingle that lifted, due to a "nail-pop". This, a relatively minor matter, was repaired at no extra charge. I cant' recommend Newton Roofing Residential strongly enough. They were prompt, efficient, professional, and polite. Mr. Melo took the time to explain matters to me in detail. I will certainly be using them for roofing matters in future,"
