"My property needed a major amount of cleanup in both the front and back yard. 88 Landscaping came quickly, and finished the job faster than I expected. The price was reasonable, and the customer service was great. Emad went out of his way to be communicative about timelines and whether I was satisfied. We did explain to the workers that there were certain plants we wanted left alone, since they were perennials and/or fruit trees that were intentionally planted. They ended up cutting down almost all of these plants, despite us pointing them out more than once. Once I told Emad the issue, he was very apologetic and went out of his way to try to find similar replacement plants. He brought over the replacements the next day. So I was satisfied with the solution, but some of the original plants had sentimental value, and the replacements were not exactly the same types of plants, so it would have been better if the workers had paid attention to our instructions in the beginning. All in all, they did a great job cleaning up and transforming the yard. They were very pleasant to work with, and completed the work quickly. The only negative was that it seems like they rushed the job and didn't take as much care as they should have in determining which plants should be cut and which should be left alone."

"I'm not going to lie, Diego and his crews is hardworking people and did a great job on landscaping. Prices is little bit high?... but I'm not sure since I don't know anything about landscaping. I am happy with my results. Definitely, hiring them again to do my next fence."

"The pro has been servicing our Mclean property quite well for a couple of years. Our lawn looks good and we are satisfied with the service. The customer service is sometimes underwhelming but it gets the job done at a reasonable cost which is really becoming harder by the day to get."

"These guys are top notch in terms of quality, responsiveness, and integrity. We had a large and complex project that required installation of an underground drainage system, pavers, stonework, outdoor low voltage lighting and asphalt. Premier Pavers was always extremely responsive by email, phone and text. Their billing was professional and work was done in a timely way. When a couple of items weren't done to my satisfaction they re-did the work promptly and with no questions asked. Frankly, this is one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. Premier took care of dealing with the subcontractors and with the city for the permits (the permitting was no easy task and required many calls to the city). They weren't the cheapest bid for the project but they weren't exorbitant either. I'm really glad I didn't go with the cheapest bid on this project."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Weymouth, MA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
