Jacob began trapping as a young man growing up in the Tidewater area of Virginia and after serving 10 years in the US Army he moved to the Northern Virginia area where for the last 8 years he worked as a wildlife control specialist dealing with everything from snakes to bats and flying squirrels to beavers. Jacob has removed animals and performed exclusion work at apartment complexes, historic houses, restaurants and golf courses from Fredericksburg to Prince Georges County, MD, Washington, DC and from Alexandria to Manassas. I recently started servicing Montgomery and Howard Counties too! We are Licensed and Insured!

"Thank you for running an honest business! You solved the problem and saved me a lot of $???. I was about to be taken for a ride by a ruthless, aggressive sales rep from Terminix. You also restored some of my faith in the American craftsmanship."

"When we called for Orkin to check us out we’ve already used a couple rodent companies and they did what they could do but we needed more. So Orkin seemed like the right choice because of their long work history. After receiving a quote and signing some paperwork to agree on the work to be performed. I was having serious buyers remorse and did some other checking on pricing. I was looking at 7800 to get my attic done along with some concrete deterrents around my stoops and a year of rodent protection. When i looked at the contract and read the fine print, it stated that i had three business days to cancel it from the time i signed; it was the fourth day as i read it. That was the second indication that this was going to be a bad decision; the price being the first. But hey, i was desperate at that point. Even timeshares gave 5 days to cancel snd they are the biggest shams. See where I'm going here. The work has now been completed for about 4.5 months now and we’ve had zero kills or bites. They literally have been to my house once to “check” on my house and that was because we called the branch manager to get someone out here. All they did was move a couple of traps. They’ve provided zero expertise to kill any of these rodents and have done what a normal house owner could accomplish. Ive also took the initiative to check around for fresh signs and movement because Orkin hasn't, even though they’re getting paid too. I found a whole at the bottom of the drywall behind a fridge in the basement that was dugout by the rodents and its been there for a minute. Orkin didnt find it, I did. A couple days ago i was digging up a bush next to a stoop that had the concrete deterrent. These deterrents are supposed to be between 12-18 inches deep from around the bottomish of the stoop. After digging up said bush I had a feeling I had to check the concrete out. Lo and behold, the deterrents weren't deterring much as it was only five inches deep with the lowest part of the deterrent was/is two inches above the bottom of the stoop. Thus it was deterring nothing. So naturally I was now questioning everything so i talked to someone above the branch manager to let them know of my dissatisfaction with their work and salesmenship. They were really indifferent about my issues with their performance and me feeling like I’ve been fleeced. They did offer to give me my money back for the concrete work only and they offered to also come back and fix the deterrents. I declined the offer for them to return to return to my home. It turns out that 6k was for what they did in the attic. I grossly overpaid for this work. Please look to others for this to be performed."

For a beautiful, healthy lawn, make the local choice: Virginia Green. Virginia’s largest locally owned lawn care company. Our certified service leaders and in-house agronomists (soil scientists) know the area’s weather and lawn challenges better than any company around—and we look forward to bringing our experience and expertise to your lawn! Virginia Green provides comprehensive lawn care and maintenance to ensure a healthy lawn all year long. With offices in Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, and now Northern Virginia - Virginia Green serves households and businesses throughout central Virginia. Our company provides the following lawncare services for residential and commercial properties: Comprehensive Lawn Care Programs (fertilization, weed and pre-weed control, and fungicides) Tree & Shrub Care, and Aeration and Seeding, Pest Control, and more! We DO NOT mow or edge lawns; we work with your lawn to keep it green all year long.

"Lawn care seems OK but customer service is substandard. I have found them difficult to work with from a customer perspective. They are expensive and with that expense, they are not available. It is nearly impossible to reach them on the phone when there is an issue. I have called my servicer a number of times for follow up information after a service call. He is never available, and a phone call is never returned. Right now I am trying to pay a bill via phone, because that option is not possible online and I don't want to send a check during the holiday season. I have tried for a week to reach them and all I get is an answering service who takes my number (or so I have been led to believe) but have not received a return call. I have been calling during "open" hours. They will not reach out to return my call, but they had no problem emailing me yesterday to tell me my fee due. Whether or not I continue to use them will depend on if they charge me a late fee when I have done my due diligence over the past week, but they have remained unavailable. If you want an expensive lawn package, they are fine. If you need customer service along with them, beware."

FAQs for bee removal projects in Woodbridge, VA

Free wasp removal services are rare. Unlike bees, wasps don't produce honey, so beekeepers typically don't collect them. While some organizations might remove wasp nests for medical research, this is uncommon. In most cases, you'll need to pay for wasp nest removal. Check with your local municipality to see if they offer free or low-cost removal services.

Keeping hornets on your property poses serious safety risks. Hornets are aggressive insects that deliver potent venom and trigger severe allergic reactions. Their defensive behavior and larger stingers can cause extremely painful, medically significant stings, especially in populated areas. Although hornets help control specific insect populations, the health hazards they create far exceed any benefits, making their presence dangerous.

You should contact a wasp removal professional as soon as you discover a nest, especially if it's in a high-traffic area on your property. While small nests in open areas might seem manageable for a DIY approach, there's always a risk of stings. For nests in hard-to-reach places like attics or behind walls, it's best to rely on experienced professionals. The optimal time for wasp removal is in the spring when wasps start building nests.

Preventing future wasp or yellow jacket infestations requires proactive deterrence measures. You achieve this by installing fake nests that discourage new colonies, arranging follow-up inspections with a local exterminator, and applying natural repellents—such as vinegar, coffee grounds, and cinnamon—around key entry points. These actions firmly block these stinging insects from establishing nests near your home.

Killing a wasp triggers its alarm pheromones, which immediately signal nearby wasps to converge on the disturbance. This action forces the insect community to become aggressive and increases the risk of multiple stings. Such a response transforms the situation into a hazardous swarm, which is why professional removal is essential.

Wasps do not return to a treated nest because they do not reuse old nests. The treatment removes the chemical cues that once attracted the wasps, and the elimination process clearly disrupts their established territory. As a result, a treated nest effectively discourages new nest construction nearby, ensuring the area remains safe.
