They arrived on time for the pack up and loading of the truck as well as for the arrival of the boxes once they made it to California. Everything was perfectly in tact and packaged nicely with care. All boxes were new and numbered so we could easily take stock to ensure all boxes arrived! "During the recent, late September rainstorms that hit the New York Metropolitan area, a basement storage unit we were using for archival materials for our not-for-profit (until we could move them to our new office) got flooded. Thankfully, the damage was not too bad. But we had to clean up and move out – within a day! – and deliver everything from the Bronx to our office in the Flatiron District. Knowing that this was a rushed, last-minute request – it was already early afternoon when we finally got everything out of the storage unit and packed into dry boxes – I called a few movers whose names and address I found online. They braved the avenues and the traffic of rush-hour Manhattan, and then unloaded and moved everything up into our office in time for us to have dinner. But Maxwell who scheduoed and priced my move called and asked me if I could change my appointment time from 9am to 1-3pm cause another job needed 4 trucks instead of 2. I agreed to help them out. Well that backfired on me! It turned into a rainy day with a storm coming. I had to travel from LI to NJ during rush hour with 2 cats. I left things behind because of these circumstances I have to go back now to get them from my neighbor. $25 Just in tolls! Today company told me I could not get any kind of compensation for my inconveniences. They had even lied about having a bigger job in the first place."

"The efforts of the movers who packed up my home went well; After speaking to Eli, I opted for the services that grouped my items for an interstate move, that stated items would arrive between 8-10 business days of the earliest move in date; after giving the date, it required several calls to coordinate the actual day. The second set of movers arrived at the appointed time then angled for a tip stating that there was an elevator charge of $300 (would it have been better to use the stairs to a 4th floor apt). Two small incidents with the move in-2 pieces of furniture were damaged, which I filed with the moving company, 3 months later no word on that claim, and, the movers failed to wash their hands after using my bathroom. Going forward, To have better control over the delivery and quality of work of the move effort, on both ends, I found it easier to coordinate the 3 phases of packing, moving and unpacking on my own; and hopefully I will see the funds from the insurance claim."
