"Ozzie was very prompt in contacting us and setting up a meeting the day after contacting him. He was very helpful in helping pick out a color scheme but left the final decision up to my wife. The job was started within a week and completed within a week and a half. He met the deadline we gave him, after starting the job, due to unplanned company coming. We had one painter at all times who spoke English, important as I do not speak Spanish. They will move all furniture and replace it as well as wall hangings. We did a lot of this ourselves by choice. They pressure washed the house first then patched cracks in the stucco then sprayed on 2 coats of paint. They patched the drywall where we had had 2 water leaks and did a close match on the texture. They do not require any money before the job is completed to your satisfaction and guarantee their work. A week after completion now and we are very satisfied"

"Beginning with his initial visit to make a bid, I was struck by the painter's, Mario Torres, professionalism.  Also he was not afraid to recommend two coats and an elastomeric coating even though this would result in a higher bid than provided by some others. <br /> The job itself went very well. The entire crew was experienced, kept things clean, and there was no goofing off. They kept me advised of the time they would be arriving each day and they were punctual. <br /> Although it was not part of the written contract, they willingly painted highlight colors on a few items: strap hinges on gates, light fixtures. There was no extra charge. <br /> The crew was polite & courteous, and we were very pleased with the final appearance of the house. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I saw the work Braulio and his team did while remodeling my neighbors house and was really impressed. So I hired him to paint my house. He gave me a detailed estimate. I did get 2 others that were lower, but I was willing to pay the difference for the quaility of work I saw him do on the neighbors house. Braulio showed up on time. He washed down the entire house. He repaired the stucco around the entire house. He painted the exterior of the house and did such a good job I had him paint the block wall fence also. He was great at communicating when he was leaving and when to expect him to return. He always seemed to have a work agenda and was alway on time. He and the people who worked with him were all professional. There was no loud music, drinking, or smoking ever while on the job. Braulio did most of the work himself. Several times he brought his son to work with him. They cleaned up every evening before leaving and he even washed the windows before he leaving. The house looks better than it did new. I am so happy with the results, I wish I had done it sooner."

"Michael was terrific, though a bit more than we had bargained for price wise. He is out to get every penny he can. Understandable I guess. he did a terrific job in the back, was professional and during our conversation came to fix the dishwasher as well. The man knows his way around a hammer and screwdriver! Would use him again. Exterior painting, neat and complete."

"Painter is not a licensed contractor, however, he painted my neighbor's house and my neighbor was satisfied with the work he did and the price he charged. Painter is Luis Galindo. He worked with us to get the paint we wanted and I paid the difference in price to get the "best" paint. That added about $100.00 over the cost of the paint he'd planned to use. He pressure washed the house right away, but painting was delayed because the paint took almost week to get in town. We had to use colors specified by our home owners association. He did a minimal job in scraping old pain off roof facia, so the delay gave me time to do a better job scrapping paint in some areas. I did't mind doing some of the work myself. For the price he gave I hadn't expected more from him. I also removed and replaced our sun screens and exterior decor items. We had a couple of additional delays in painting due to windy conditions, otherwise the painting went well. He was easy to work with and very willing to do as I asked. In some cases he offered suggestions which I appreciated. I got another bid to do the work from a licensed contractor, but it was double the bid of Galindo and sons. The price I paid was for a single coat of paint. He would have gladly done two coats but the cost would have been more. We used an excellent paint which included a primer in the paint and it covered very well with one coat. Depending on the paint, others may not be satisfied with one coat. Overall, we were very satisfied with the end result and the price we paid. <br /> <br /> Update, 01/28/15- When putting up our Christmas decorations I noticed an area on the front of the garage where the stucco has a particularly rough texture. The paint had not been applied to get above the texture, so there was a sizable area that need to be covered from the top. I called him and explained what I found a week before Christmas. He said he would take care of it, but did not commit to a time. After a couple of calls and a missed appointment he came by the house on 01/28/15 and touched up the area he hadn't covered along with two other areas that hadn't been well covered on the west side of the house. After he left I noticed there were still a few spots he missed again, so I touched them up myself. The main reason for painting my house is to seal it from water penetration. Leaving spots of unsealed stucco exposed would leave those spots unprotected. For homeowners who are seeking a good price, I would still recommend Galindo, however, I'd insist he thoroughly inspect the completed job and cover all the spots he missed."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Yuma, AZ

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
