"A-American Pest Control was one of 5 pest exterminators I contacted for quotes to treat my house for termites and other insect pests; including two major nation-wide companies and 2 other independents. A-American was very thorough and professional in their inspection, quoting, documentation and job performance. They showed up on time and did what they said they'd do. In my case, the owner-operator of A-American and his helper provided the inspection, quote and actual service. They were both nice and pleasant to deal with. I found the owner-operator to have up-to-date knowledge and be an expert regarding pest control. I like dealing with experienced long standing owner-operators such as A-American. I will use A-American for additional pest control jobs."

"The quality of the service provided has been fine so far (based on one treatment). My negative review is based on the quality of their sales-people. I had a gentleman come to the door (waking me up from sleep- I work nights and sleep during the day). The conversation was quick and they said if I switched to Reliant they could offer me slightly cheaper payments than my current pest control company and that it would be a month-to-month service that I could cancel at any time (which is important for me as I focus on pet control during just the summer months and like to cancel or put my account on hold during the winter months). The guy had me quickly sign a few places on the contract and I was not given a chance to read it through. As I was still in a sleepy haze this did not seem as suspicious to me as it should have. When I call in the cancel the service, I find out that I am locked in a 1-year agreement and to cancel I have to pay 75% of the remaining contract.  <br /> Basically I feel like that salesman just told me whatever I wanted to hear (lied, lied, lied) to get me to sign up knowing that I would be trapped with the contract. It is sneaky and speaks volumes about the quality of the people hired by this company. I would not recommend this company. Pest-control companies are available in droves throughout Houston and when you can have your pick I would not pick a company that lies to get you into a contract. Yes, I should have insisted that the salesman not rush off (he said he had to go to another property) so that I could read the contract, but being woken up by the doorbell and being in a sleepy haze combined with his rushed insistence that I could cancel when I wanted led me to sign a contract when I shouldn't have. <br /> Don't make my mistake. Or do, maybe (hopefully) your situation will be different. <br />"

"It was GREAT!!! <br /> I chose several Pest Control Ccompanies from Angie's list and I spoke to people who have had work done. I have heard horrible stories! I also had a company come out 8 years ago to give an estimate to PreTreat and they told me $2-3K!!! So I never had it done as that was a lot for a first time home owner for a pretreat "maybe" type investment. <br /> Well I got them and I got them in the worst way - they came in through my daughters wall over her bed.  <br /> I really like the reviews on Bio-Tech and something said just call. I was very skeptical and not sure what to expect; especially after my boss spent 2 hours the day before explaining to me how to treat them myself as Pest Controls are such a rip off... He is a Geophysicist & extremely knowlegeble so I trusted him. <br /> I called and I spoke to Dena. Dena was very nice and did not come off as a sales person but just a friend on the phone. Giving me detailed information on anything I wanted to know. I felt comfortable and asked for a Tech to come out and give me the estimate. Unfortunately they were booked for two weeks. <br /> I was almost in tears because it was in my Daughters room and I felt comfortable enough to at least see what BioTech had to say. All of a sudden Dena asked if I wouldnt mind holding on. She came back on the line and she spoke to the schedulers to see if there was any way to get someone out asap. She got me on the schedule!!! <br /> Shane came out and gave the estimate and he was very personable and pleasant personality. This also made it easier to invite him in my home to se my Daughters damage in the wall. <br /> Shane gave me a very resonable estimate and I felt sure he was very honest. <br /> I could only afford the "SPOT" Treatment but wanted the full treatment. I called back and spoke to Dena and told her I was having a hard time deciding as I could not afford much. Dena explained the difference and made some key points that I had not thought of and was for sure I covered everything with Shane - he was thourough as well. <br /> Dena made sense and I felt extremely comfotable with the Company and team they had. I am very hard to please and expect allot for not too much. :) <br /> I also needed a Flea treatment on my yard. I needed both!!!  I mentioned this to Dena and she gave e a discount on the Termite treatment and Flea treatment - together or seperate a discount! Fair enough I decided to bite the bullett and do it all. Dena's key points, knowledge and plesantpersonality made it all possible. Shane is the Best & so glad he went out of his way to come out all the way from Pasadena (I believe - far) just to be the type of Honest Inspector I wish all companies had. <br /> When it was time to do the work; well actually there's more.... <br /> There were no appointments for the weekend as I wanted to be there for this extensive job. I booked it for a Friday but felt extremely uncomfortable having it done while I was not home because it's extensive work. Dena put me on a cancellation list and a call list if they add extra techs for Saturday.  <br /> The added a tech and called me back! I was very happy and Michael came out to do the work. He had the same personality as Shane and Dena and was very nice and eager to do the job. He let me know what was going to happen and was very professional. He worked very hard and fast - I was amazed and he started at 8:30 or and finished before 11 AM. That was super fast!!!  I hope he got every spot! :)  Everything seems fine but you cannot see those little pests. <br /> Either way it's good for a year and I can have them retreat at any time for both services. Shane is coming back this Saturday to reat the yeard for Fleas and he will also check the Termite work and peal the tape off my daughters wall that I am too chicken to remove. :) <br /> I 100% recommend Bio-Tech Pest Control and was very Blessed to have found them.
