"<p>It started out great. The presentation was good and the salesman was very knowledgeable and nice. His pricing even seemed competitive. However, when I told him we need to think it over a day or two to allow my wife and time to compare it with the other estimates, that's when things changed.  That's when he put on the high pressures sales tactics. He told me we could not think it overnight or the price would not be honored. He said we had to decide on the spot because he was leaving town the next day. Basically, "take it or leave it".  I asked him again if we could let him know the next day, he said no.  The only reason we decided to do it was because the price seemed fair and we did like the quality and color of the windows.  When we got a call a few weeks later to schedule the installment we were told they would be there on Monday at 2pm or 3pm (it was one or the other, I forgot which one it was).  I told the gentleman on the phone that might work, I just need to check with my wife to make sure she could be home by then. He then said he would go ahead and schedule me for that time, but to call him back only if my wife could not be home at that time. I confirmed that I will only call him if we need to reschedule, otherwise put us down for that time.  I never called him back because my wife was able to make it home for the scheduled time.  He called me back a few days later to make sure we were all set for the following FRIDAY! I told him it was for Monday not Friday. He said he scheduled someone else in our time slot since I never called him back.  I reminded him of the previous conversation we had about me only calling him back if we need to make a change.  I then asked him to come at our original time, but he said he couldn't because it was no longer available. I asked him to call the other people back that he scheduled in our time slot and tell them to reschedule. He said he couldn't.  He said he could squeeze us in later that Monday evening, but he will try to come out earlier if they could. I was very disappointed that we got bumped and he did not seem to care.  In my opinion, I'm sure we got bumped because the other job must have made them more money since we were only getting three windows installed.</p> <p>The quality of the window are great, but their customer service is horrible.  I'm in sales and I would never tell a customer they had to decide now or the price will not be honored.  Although we only had three windows installed we are planning on getting the rest of the house windows replaced next month.  We would have liked to used Sooner, but now we will be using another company.</p> <br />"

"Used AE five years ago for some windows and all went well. Contacted them again for more windows and not so good. First, they were among the most expensive even with our "discount" for being a previous customer. Second, the salesman looked a window that was very large and hard to open and declared that that window should never have been put in and needed to be replace with a different style and they would do it for just labor. However, when we decided to not use AE for the new windows, the replacement window disappeared and AE wanted $80 to send a person out to measure the opening and then would only give us our normal "discount". When we left messages for the manager to call it took over a week with a promise to check with corporate to see if anything could be done. That was four months ago and we're still waiting for the return call."

"He was busy and he could not come out the next day or anything like that but he came out as soon as he could and when he said he was going to come, he came. After they went out and gave me an estimate they came out right away after that. They cleaned up very well afterwards. I'm fixing to call them again and want some work done on the inside of the house. They all worked outside but they seemed nice. The quality of work is really good. It looks really great. I did a price check around. The price they gave me is reasonable."

"Knowing that we intended to sell the house at some point, and realizing it wasn't going to bring a high price, John suggested selling it "as is" (which we had planned to do). He thought someone would buy it for a rental, and have the skills to do the work him/herself. He asked if we'd gotten an appraisal on the house. I understood that he didn't want us to invest a lot of money for no return. I really appreciated him trying to talk himself out of a job! A couple of days later, I was looking at the condition of the house again, as well as looking for ways to cut costs, if possible. The back part of the house really needs work, and I don't really think it should wait until whenever we get around to selling it.. The other three sides are certainly not new, but they'll pass. After asking a friend about siding only a portion of the house (he said that would be OK), I called John and asked if he'd give me an estimate for having only the back done. He called me back within half an hour with the answer. I'm waiting for one more estimate before getting the job finished, but even if I go with another contractor, I want everyone to know that John is #1 for integrity! <br /> I gave them a "B" for punctuality, because he said he'd call a couple of days before to confirm our appointment. He did not, which didn't concern me too much. But after I'd waited 30 minutes, I decided to search for his business. I knew the general location of the address, but wasn't sure of the block. It turns out their business shares a building with another business, and their business name is not on the street. After driving in that area two or three times I found the address on the sign in the front. As I walked to the door, I saw their business name on the window. I went in to talk to him and he was more than happy to accompany me to my house at that time. <br />"
