"My back yard has a steep hill -- no, not the grassy knoll type -- but bedrock and clay. When the house was purchased in '96 everything was ok with the hill. However, age, among other factors, had not been kind to the wood retaining wall--it seemed to be dissolving more each year. Additionally, the steps leading to the deck [built into the hill about half way up] had been poorly constructed and were pusihing up from the ground. They were unsafe. <br /> A very good friend recommended Tolosa Gardens and Landscape. Came on Angie's list and there were a couple more good reviews.
