"<p>Scott was professional and the lawn and grounds looked good after the first service.  Regular maintenance is performed and the lawn doesn't get out of hand!   In colder months, it may be edging and pine needles, and picking up pine cones.  After the ice storm in February, his team cleared the many broken limbs and trees almost the very next day.  In warmer months, it is mowing and trimming.</p> Initial cleanup was a bit steep in price - but they did a really good job including moving a small tree, removing a dead shrub, weeding, cutting all bushes back, etc. <br /> Regular maintenance appears as if they may rush a little bit -  ant mounds remain untreated, weeds (saplings) in the beds are not pulled, and edging not done every time.    However, lawns take time and improve with continued good care - so I am sure that it will get better with time. <br /> Overall, though, I am very happy with their service and would recommend them.  It is so nice to come home to a green, neat lawn and know that I don't have to plan to "fit" lawn-mowing into my schedule!! <br /> Thanks Scott's Lawn Care! <br />"

"I received a mailing listing the lawn treatment service they offered. I had some questions which they were able to answer before I signed up. They were out to my house for the first lawn treatment 2 days after I signed up. The service man was professional and offered tips to help improve my lawn. Due to the weeds already established, he was upfront that I may not notice full results until next year, after a full growing cycle. So I won't know about the quality of service for some time. I hope to update my review as time progresses. <br />"

"I have had multiple problems with my lawn since I purchased my home in 2010 (dead spots, improper grading/drainage). Though I employed another service to grade and install Zoysia sod, problems continued and worsened after the ice storm. My brother recommended that I find a professional lawn service to give my lawn regular TLC - he is a staunch DIY man so I knew he felt this was worth the money! I reviewed Angie's List and selected Scott's which I have been using for several months. It's too early to see results from the treatments but I expect that the results will be amazing when spring comes.  <br /> I can speak to the service I have received from the staff as it has been flawless. I like that I receive an email and written copy of the personal treatment by the technician who treats my yard. It's not a lot of technical stuff, but a description that one would have in a conversation. Though I've never met him, it is reassuring to have a photo so that a homeowner could identify who is providing a service. I have had a couple of occasions to call the office, and each time the ladies were warm and helpful. It is a pleasure to work with people who are honest, dependable, knowledgeable and friendly. "First let me say I am quite satisfied with the service provided. <br /> The only 2 negative things I have to report are: <br /> 1. They were supposed to come out on a Thurs and didn't show up, didn't call.. When I contacted Dennis about it Thurs night and told him I needed the yard mowed in time for a BBQ Fri evening, he rearranged his schedule for Fri to make sure they got to my yard in time. He informed me that they didn't show up Thurs because of an auto accident. The 1 day delay was no problem for me, but I do wish I had been contacted when they realized they wouldn't make it out. <br /> 2. They were supposed to spray some weed treatment stuff on the outside of my fenced backyard. Dennis said it should kill everything back there but it hasn't really done anything.. I still have vines and other broad leaf weeds coming over the fence. I'm actually not 100% sure if they sprayed or not (I was not at home when they came), since they may have had to rush to finish the job by Fri. Either way, the price for just the mowing was competitive in this area so this was not a problem for me. <br /> <br /> Update 7/30/13: Dennis did contact me about coming to respray, said they are using a different product now that is more effective. We havent set up a time for them to come retreat yet, but I will post here after they do about how it worked. It does make sense to me that all the rain we were having would make the initial treatment less effective, hopefully now that it has dried out a bit and isn't raining every day, the next treatment will work! I very much appreciate the offer to come treat the area again at no charge."
