"RR used to take care of our yard regularly. After moving to somewhere with no lawn, we hadn't been needing them. We found them again on Home Advisor for some trimming and cleanup. They came out to give an estimate the same day and did a beautiful job the next day. We've already scheduled more projects with them. Great people, great work, great prices!"

"Well you always over pay for this stuff. Well we get an Angie's discount, that helped a little bit. It's a standard price for most places so I'll say an A. They use organic stuff only so I'll say an A. As long as I can afford it. Well, they don't use pesticides, they have an all organic approach to lawn care, so that's the biggest issue that we prefer, no pesticides, no spermicides and all that stuff. Well I'll be honest with you, I never see them. You know they are here for 5,10 minutes. They usually call before they come. I suppose its A. I just have it set up with them. A lot of the times we're not even here."

"It went very well... Jason and his crew were awesome! Jason came out twice to talk with me about ideas for the backyard area. It's very shaded, so I knew grass wouldn't work. I also have dogs and I didn't want them tearing up grass or plants. He recommended putting up a small retaining wall to solve the sliding issue and level out the yard. In addition, he suggested a wood framed fence with galvanized mesh across the back to be able to see out into the woods and make the area feel larger, along with putting down wood chips rather than grass. I love how it turned out! It has a wooded park like feel to it. It's very simple, but works for me. I had called a few other companies before Hone. It was very frustrating, as the other companies either wouldn't respond, or they would come out to look at the area, but never followed up with a bid. Jason was very responsive from the beginning and always responded to emails and phone calls."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in North Bend, WA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
