Decks, Remodels
"Cityline replaced my 1200 sq ft wooden deck with Trex decking and new railings. My deck looks PHENOMENAL, the contractors were great to work with, and we were able to add additional smaller projects along the way easily (ended up need my pool removed along with the deck)."

Basement - Remodel
"It was a pleasure to work with Alliance Construction. John was very professional, courteous and dependable. He made sure everything was done correctly. We had wanted a pocket door to replace the folding door to the bathroom. John was willing to put one in, but explained some of the problems that may occur later. He suggested a barn door. We went with his suggestion and are so glad we did. It is wonderful and adds so much to the look of the room. We also asked if he could hide the electric panel and water meter. He built a cabinet, even though it took him out of his comfort zone, to hide them and we are so pleased with the results. He did lay vinyl flooring through out our house as well. We had squeaky floors and asked John if there was a way to get rid of the squeaks. He went the extra mile and made sure everything was tight and secure before laying the floors. They turned out amazing. We were so thankful to have a contractor we could trust. We would definitely use him again and would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends."

Construction
"Thomas Bey is very knowledgeable and capable of handling anything needed in the home. Not only did he install baseboards throughout the house but he also made the drywall adjustments for heater vents and leveled floor and moved floor panels to fit. He is very professional and nice to work with."

"Completed two full bathroom remodels. Was very open to my suggestions and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Tour out an old tub surround. And switched the shower and toilet locations. Not a simple project but it came out beautifully. I highly recommend this contractor."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Pittsburgh Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 87 reviews of 87 pros.
