"I have used Alternative Earthcare for a few years now. This past season I noticed more weeds in my lawn. I received an email from Gary who originally signed me up for this service stating the person would be at my house today, 10/08/2020 to complete the last fall service. I was monitoring my ring doorbell camera and there was an Alternative Earthcare truck in front of my house. The person did not get out of the truck for a good 15 minutes. He then got out of the truck, put the sign on my lawn, and a receipt in my mailbox. He then placed lime in the spreader. He went to the side of my house and did a few rows not even the full lawn then proceeded to the bigger piece of front lawn literally did 2 rows then went up the driveway piece of grass, went back to his truck, put the spreader away then left. He did not do my fertilizer treatment and did not place lime on the entire lawn. I am beyond upset. I called to speak to Gary Nicholson about it and his response is that there is not much he can do about it and he would send another truck back to my house. They did send another guy back to my house who applied something on my lawn using a pump sprayer but not the rest of the lime. Gary states he went to my house and looked at the lawn. He was very rude, talking over me when I am explaining to him what I saw via my ring camera. Then he started to yell at me demanding that I send him the video and said I was lying when I said I do not have to send him anything and I am the customer and should be treated with respect. I also do not have the time to call anyone especially during work time to be treated disrespectfully. I am paying for a service and I expect that service. He defends his work stating he did what he was supposed to but Gary was not at my home when the 1st worker was at my house. The 1st worker did not do what he was supposed to and that the worker is dishonest. I had another incident last year which I let go giving another try to Alternative Earthcare. WARNING: Watch these people - make sure you are home if you hire them. I learned the hard way. I am done and will be searching for another service. Highly disappointed with the unprofessional treatment and dishonest service."

Mrs. Deb O. We tried several times to work this out with you. Each time you screamed and cursed not allowing us to speak. We tried to send the lawn care road manager to your home, you refused. You cursed out our Service Manager and hung up. The office manager you told off, your angry cause you have weeds and this season was horrendous. Many lawns look bad it happens, we agreed to fix it but you won't let us. Instead, you came here and elsewhere to try to ruin our reputation. We have the video you sent to the home advisor, it shows our crew tech fertilizing and lime to the lawn thoroughly. We spoke to home advisor and they endorsed us as doing a proper job. I wish you allow us to fix this, if you decide you wish too, please call us at 631-499-4300 so we can fix the issues for your lawn.

"They misrepresented their service. We wanted to save a large oak tree from a fungus it was developing. The salesman contacted me and assured me the fungus was from insects and he could save it with two applications. One for the insects destroying the tree, the other for the roots. We agreed to try that. When the employees arrived they said they were here only to spray the roots. Confused my husband called them to clarify what the men they sent were doing. When he explained why we wanted the treatment (for the fungus) the man on the line said there was nothing that could save that tree. I hate to accuse people of lying, but that was deceitful. "

" Very professional, explained the product clearly, and was very polite. However, thee work crew should have cleaned up more of the sawdust from the tree cutting. The cut branches also scratched the gate as they were pulled through so they could have cut them down further. But the cleaned up the area in front of the house nicely."

"Before calling them, my yard was over run with caterpillars. Since they have sprayed, I have not seen one. The technician who sprayed said that it was the end of the season and most might be dead already so it might just be coincidental timing... I also had them put something down for ants and I have not seen an ant since. They usually don't appear until it really heats up and the weather has been cool. So again... coincidental timing or not? I am not sure but all I know is I have not seen a caterpillar or ant since they treated my property."
