"Michael was great. He returned my phone call later that night, and came out the next day to take a look at what needed to be done. He was really easy to work with for scheduling, and very reasonable with his prices. Within a week or so he had his crew out to our house, and they went over the whole side with a fine tooth comb. They made sure the brick pointing was good on our chimney, too, and replaced the cap that was missing (that we hadn't even noticed was gone!). Lots of attention to detail, and if you hadn't known there was missing mortar and cracks, you'd never know there was any work done at all - which is how masonry repair is supposed to be. "I had three different chimney companies come out for estimates, including Bricks. Bricks was the only one that bothered to actually thoroughly inspect my two fireplaces and wide chimney, discovering that one of my dampers was broken and more. The whole chimney needed to be stuccoed because the veneer stone on it was falling apart, and previous owners had covered a lot of it (foolishly) in roof tar. Bricks was the only company that thoroughly explained everything wrong, without using scare tactics. They were nice and patient, and I’m confident if anything goes wrong with the repair, they’d come out to fix it. It was a pricey job, but doing things right is often pricey. Worth it, though."

"Derek Starts responded quickly to our initial email inquiry for a quote on a stone patio for our home. Afterward, he visited our home,
assessed our desired plan, and provided a competitive and reasonable estimate to construct a paving stone patio for us.
Derek and his crew dealt with extremely difficult weather conditions (high humidity and 93-95?) while digging the foundation and
constructing the patio. But even under these circumstances all were well-trained and professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating to modest changes to the plan. The crew was also exceptionally neat during construction, and cleaned up the site daily.
The patio was finished within two days, and is exceptionally well-built and attractive.
Lastly, Derek and his crew laid sod around the perimeter of the patio, and provided us with specific instructions as to appropriate care and maintenance of the grass.
The grass is currently thriving, and the patio looks terrific.
